"They held up 50K $ of my money - debited it from my account and did not transfer as per their committed SLAs on their website. Several calls to their customer service and all they said was technical difficulty. When I looked up consumeraffairs there were numerous people complaining about this issue for over a month. I almost got into legal trouble because I had issued authorizations to debit my account in my country and because of xoom's incompetency the funds were not available in time. The customer service supervisor Angie told me I can stay online forever and put me onhold!! Absolutely incompetent company and dishonest to not tell consumers about their technical issues even when they know it beforehand. NEVER TRUST them when you are in need . Try Remitly and money2india or even just a wire transfer. I ended spending 1000$ in paying fees and interest for short term loans to ensure I did not get into legal trouble. Xoom is a FRAUD COMPANY with FRAUD people on MANAGEMENT and it deliberately puts consumers into TROUBLE."
