"Ordered cable through ebay. Paid in advance. Seller later notifies that cable no longer available. I leave neutral feedback with facts. They leave negative feedback stating a mutual cancellation. No such agreement. Seller has strong pattern of very shakey business practices. If you deal with them be ready to invest a bunch of time in after sale issues.

"I purchased an AMD 64 4000+ mobile processor from them on 11/5/05 fo $187 + $15 for 2 day shipping. I went to their website on 11/8/05 and discovered not only did they cancel my order, but they then raised the price from $187 to $422. When I called the company about this, they claimed that they had no record of my transaction and told me to re-order the item. When I asked if they would honor the original price of $187 they would not. After conversing with the sales rep on the phone for several minutes regarding the price change, he hung up on me. I ordered Canon LiDE 80 scanner ($126.00 at their site, Street price $129.99, manufacturer discontinued). I thought that if it were actually out of stock, they would cancel my order. Unfortunately that did not happen. The item was in fact out of stock, but they shipped a different model (Canon CanoScan 3000ex, $50.00 at their site, Street price $49.99) immediately without my permission. To make the matters worse, they charged on my card $126.00 plus shipping for such a cheaper model!! I complained to them and asked return instruction. They never replied. So I refused the delivery. Later they refunded $126 but refused to refund shipping charge!!

Interestingly, Canon LiDE 80 is still at their site as if it is in stock. I suspect that they list discontinued items without telling whether they are actually in stock or not to attract potential buyers and sell them cheaper models at much higher price. I totally hate such a dishonest practice.

After I read Reseller Reply to my Review, I found that X Technology is not only a scum but also a TERRIBLE LIAR!!

Wrong! I sent two email messages to them with detailed complaints. What more information do they need at all?

Another lie! I ordered at 10:40am on 10/14/05. They called me and left message on my answering machine that the item was out of stock at around 1:00pm on the same day. (I was out of town at that time.) Immediately after that (1:38pm on 10/14/05) they sent me an invoice with the model name CanoScan 3000ex instead of LiDE 80 and the UPS tracking number! I came home at night and I noticed their telephone message and the invoice in my email inbox. I immediately sent them an email message asking cancellation of my order. However the (wrong) merchandize was already in UPS shipping process (UPS record shows Origin Scan at 8:56pm on 10/14/05). They did not wait for my answer and shipped a different model without my permission on the same day as my ordering!

I strongly advise all potential buyers to stay away from X Technology. They are constantly telling lies and do dishonest practices as also attested by many dissatisfied customers."

"I ordered a fully customized system from xTechnology. I had a very good idea of the components that I wanted in my new PC (moderate top range, no frills, but graphics oriented for me as a power home user). They were the only store that I found that was able to offer all the components that I had on my wishlist.

I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to construct my system starting with one of their barebone kits, add all the desired components, have it built and tested, and shipped for a price that was only about $100 more than the sum of the components (if I had bought them each respectively from the cheapest online merchants). Well, call me lazy, but not having the hazzle of bolting together a top notch PC was well worth a hundred bucks !!! And I also found it curious that they shipped my system for only $25, about a quarter of the amount that I paid with other well-known retailers.

I was very impressed with their encompassing quality approach - from website, web system configurator, phone tech and sales support, order handling, order tracking etc. Everything went smooth, and my xTechnology sales representative (Tony) was extremely knowledgable, helpful, friendly and proactive - both during the order and for one follow-up conversation. The order documentation and shipment information was perfect. I received the system in great shape, on time, assembled as promised, with all the components documentation in the shipping box.

The system is cleanly and neatly built - actually looks better than if I had it put together myself.

I want to highly recommend xTechnology, if you are in the market for a upper midrange to high end system and you have specific components on your wishlist. Great customer service, amazing prices. Everybody who is in the market for a customized system should seriously consider buying from them. Just price out your dream system, and decide for yourself. I told two coworkers who are in the market for a new home system about my experience, they checked xTechnology's website, and they couldn't believe that they could actually build a system fully to specs for about half of what one would pay at the big retailers.

I will certainly keep xTechnology on the top of my list when I need to buy a top ranks customized computer in the future. Two thumbs up - actually four, because my wife loves the new PC too.

"This is the second time I bought a barebones unit from X Technology in the past month. After my first purchase I was impressed by the service and prices so ordered another unit for a friend. I ordered at about 10:30pm on 3-4. I receieved a confirmation notice and then watched as the order processed on Mon (3-7). After sitting in the stockroom for four days I emailed the evening of 3-10 and got a reply the next morning from Yuri saying the unit would ship the middle of the next week. At the same time I got a response from Yuri, I also got a detailed order confirmation. I ended up calling Yuri and speaking with him and he said that the computer was scheduled for assembly that day (Friday) within the 7 day window that they give themselves. I replied that I thought that for just assembling a MB,CPU,FD and memory into a case that seemed to be a little slow and that my customer would not be happy and if it would speed things up just ship me the parts. Yuri said that he would try to expedite the process. True to his word the unit shipped out Friday evening, from Cleveland, and I received it Monday, in Ann Arbor, MI. My feeling is that something got lost in the order processing but X Technology made every effort to get it right and succeeded. In sum, I would buy from XTech again without hesitation but I would also follow up if I did not receive the detailed confirmation. Good product, service and prices will bring me back again. "
