"Hands down, this is the FINEST system that I have ever purchased...and I've got (11) others to judge it by.
The sales staff really listened to my needs and was instrumental in helping me decide on the proper configuration. They are motivated to get the system that's right for your needs, not just ring up a higher price!
The system arrived completely free of shovelware and ready to roar. (Yeah...it's FAST!!) It's everything a custom built system should be...why, they even took the time to put Duracell batteries in the cordless keyboard and mouse...not some dollar store imports like most manufacturers! Nice touch!
When there was a slight problem with the OS registration, they provided a quick and effective solution.
This company is THE BEST!!

"I spent a month researching for a computer that would run my Flight Sim X at FULL BORE. Alienware seemed like a good choice until I spoke with one of their consultants. I gave her my price range ($1500.00 to $2000.00) and I felt like she wanted to sell me a computer that may or may not run my Flight Sim X the way I wanted. Seemed like she was more concerned with making a sale than my final satisfaction. Then I checked with the BBB. Almost a THOUSAND complaints in 36 months. No thanks.
I then called @Xi Computers and had the blessing of speaking with Bill @ extension 7102. Wow. We spent more than an hour discussing EXACTLY what I was looking for and expecting. He truely was interested in my satisfaction VS a sale. I spent (including shipping) $2145.59 (I added a unnecesary $169.00 lighted gaming cabinet. Couldn't resist.) I am eagerly awaiting for my new machine. I have absolutely no doubt that I will be totally satisfied with my purchase. Check it out. BBB complaints; 2 in 36 months. Both resolved! I'll follow up when I am up and flying. Thanks @Xi Computers. Thanks Bill! "
"Amazing! Great customer service, they really work with you to make sure you get the best computer to fit your needs, and they are really good at working out problems that arise in the case of product discontinuation (we all know how quickly technology advances).
I built a quote with them and ordered it a month later-video card had become obsolete and manufacturer had sold all of them; instead of trying to sell me on a much more expensive card, they offered me 3 or 4 different options and discussed the pros/cons of each one with me.
Computer is amazing-lightning fast CAD and 3D rendering, smooth interface.
Great price! I built an almost identical computer quote on Dell-price was almost $1500 higher! HP was even more expensive.
If you want a workstation notebook or desktop without throwing away your money, this is definetely the company to buy from!"
"I have bought many workstations over the years from many different vendors but XI stands out for thier pricing and quality. They were not only knowledge about the type of work that I was involved with, but the proper hardware available.
Since I have some 64 bit software they recommended that I go with a Dual Boot system(XP PRo and XP 64)
That was briliant!
Again i cant recommend them enough.
Dual AMD 285 64bit Dual Core Opertons
8 gigs ram
ATI Fire GL V7350 1 gig Video card
RAID 1 200 gig drives
300 gig data drive
AND ALOT MORE"
"I am very pleased with computer that I recieved from XI. I had concerns once order was placed, I did not hear any feedback from XI as to status of computer. I had to call and then they gave me update over phone. It would be better if during process of build they would give updates on their web site. Tech service has been great! I had a small problem with missing screws from new case, Sam Corralz was able to understand what was wrong and sent me need part overnight. "
"Based on the PC magazine reviews of the SLI enabled higer end desktop computers, I went with Xi. So far, I'm very please with the product and the Customer Service. The Altec Lansing speaker that I'd ordered did not work properly. After a call to Tech Support and some trouble shooting, identifed the speakers were at fault. Called on Friday, they shipped a replacement the same day, arrived on the Monday and now all is well.
Computer itself is way cool. Xi MTower 64 AGE-SLI with the:
- AMD Athalon 64 x2 with 2GB memory,
- 2x nVidia GeForce 6600GT
- 2x 160GB RAID 0,
- ASUS A8N32-SLI-DIx motherboard
- 550W Enermax power supply
Waiting for my copy of Flight Sim to arrive to really test it out.

"In researching the next generation computer I wanted to buy I was drawn to the Xi® MTower™ 64 AGE-SLI™ Graphics Desktop because of several recent good reviews in the media. Their website is easy to use and configuring what I wanted as an average home user wishing to be ready for Window's Vista was quick and user-friendly.
I was somewhat taken back by previous reviews of the company on this site that were characterized as less than satisfactory. From my experience, to date, I think they are much better than what has been printed. I did order and they have been great. I will update this review when I pick up and test my system.

"Pre-sales feedback good - voluntary post-sales feedback nonexistent. There is a problem building my system and I am not being given truthful information when an inquiry is made about my order. It is approaching 1-month since the order was placed and still no delivery. It remains to be seen if I ever do business with them again.
--update-- My system arrived-finally-built to specs and works great."
"I was looking for a workstation to do 3D Modelling/CAD. I was particularly interested in workstations that use the nVidia Quadro video cards as my research indicated that these video boards were preferable for CAD/Modeling as opposed to gaming applications.
I Googled CAD workstations, and in the references it returned I noticed @Xi Computer machines mentioned several times.
@XI Computer has been in business since the early 1990s and are a member of the BBB, so they aren't fly-by-night outfit. That's certainly a concern when you're looking at this kind of purchase.
The @XI website was easy to navigate. It let you specify every aspect of the system by selecting from drop-down menus--monitors, CD-drives, hard-drives, video cards, sound cards, case configuration--everything, and it priced that system for you. You could even configure a system that was possible but impractical, for example, as I did when I specified two DVD/CD RW drives.
Fortunately, there an intelligent, knowledgeable person paying attention to these quotes. I got an email response back by the next day from Robert suggesting that I might want to consider a CD-R instead of a second DVD/CD-RW. Also, he offered a couple other suggestions that made sense.
Realizing my limitations, I emailed Robert back outlining what I wanted to do with the machine. He emailed me back a new proposal with quote that made sense to me. (The quote would have been for the same amount had I selected that configuration of hardware/software myself on the dropdown menus).
One thing I had decided that I wanted was a specific NEC/Monitor that I was familiar with. @Xi uses Viewsonic, not NEC, but that was no problem. They just credited the proposal with the amount of the monitor in the base system. The other question I had was could they deliver the system by C.O.B. Friday September 3rd? (This was on August 18th.)
Robert from @Xi phoned me on Aug. 19th and advised me that considering set-up, burn-in time and shipping the 3rd was a tight schedule, and I would need to place the order that day to get the system scheduled for production. He was curious why I was interested in the NEC monitor and commented that they had had very good luck with the Viewsonics. But it was just a comment and certainly not a sales-pitch.
Based on my instinct I placed the order.
Suprisingly, on September 2nd I got a notice of attempted delivery and actually received the system on the 3rd. (BTW, my cc wasn't charged until the system actually shipped on 8/31.)
To receive a system on schedule is one thing, but is that system intact, set up easily and operate properly?
I had my monitor on hand. Everything--everything to the last nut and bolt--on my order from @Xi was in the shipment! Setup was simple, the Xi manual was a real (printed-not-xeroxed) professionally written set of instructions. Everything plugged together properly in just a few minutes. Even the connector I needed to hook up the NEC was included. Hardware setup was a breeze!
I powered up. The system went through boot-up, and I was looking at Windows XP in just a few seconds. Not a hiccup one!
All the software I ordered with the system was installed and operational, and the associated discs and manauals were included.
I loaded the CAD and Modeling software that I had purchased directly from those companies (that, too, without a glitch one), and I was up and running, focused on doing the modeling that I was interested in, not distracted with the struggles of getting a basic system to run.
In summary, I am extremely pleased with the quality of the @Xi machine, its performance, @Xi Computer's attention to their customer's needs and the integrity of the transaction. I got a great system for a very reasonable price; they got a very happy customer.
If you're interested in a high-performance CAD workstation for professional purposes, I highly recommend @Xi Computer. "
"Since leaving positive feedback for this company, the computer hard drive, motherboard, and video card failed. Was it a coincidence that this happened just a few weeks after the warranty expired? It was a government purchase, and a spam email from Xi computer came shortly afterwards asking if it was time for me to upgrade to a new computer. I'll let you decide.

"Took a month from order date to ship the system despite being (what seems to me at least) a plain vanilla system. They also lied about the ship date (they said next day two weeks ago, and it shipped today). They also did not respond to several inquiries as to order status. I haven't even received the machine yet, but I'm pretty sure I'll never order from them again."
"This is a very bad after purchased service. It is just like they want money only."
"XI had the most customizable options of the graphics workstation vendors I looked at. It was slow, almost a full month until I got it. Email support was quick enough when I wrote about an ongoing problem but not very extensive. I wasn't worried enough about the problem to try calling, though. The hardware is very good, and the customization options exceptional."
"I purched a high-end workstation from XI on Jan 8th. I was then told it would take a week to build and a week to ship. That puts the delivery date the 22nd. On the 16th I called to get a Fedex tracking number and was told it wan not built yet, and that they would ship in on the 20th. I called again on the 22 for a tracking number and was informed it was still not ready to ship. I was then promised it would ship on the 24th by 2nd day to be delivered the 27th. On the 25th, I received an automated email from Fedex stating that the packages had been picked up and they were to be delivered on the 30th. On the 29th I tracked the packages and found out that one of the three packages was not to be delivered until Feb 3rd (the LCD monitor). I called to complain and got the shipping refunded. I felt like I got alot of runaround without much resolution. I don't know if I will attempt to order from them again. "
"I've just spend the last 2 days researching a computer purchase and thought here are my notes. I was looking for a pretty high end home computer that could do video editing, serve as a home theatre, and so. I did a pretty careful comparison of
1. Xi
2. Alienware
3. Falcon NW
4. voo doo
5. dell
6. gateway
I got all these names from various pc world / zd net surveys - all had won this or that award, which i didn't find very helpful in discriminating
My findings were
a. dell and gateway wouldn't let you spec a machine with the components you wanted. This means you have to take there base machine and add on yourself, which i don't have time or energy for.
b. falcon and voodoo both seemed like good machines, but they were 15% more expensive than the one i bought (equivalently equipped). But you get a really pretty box, which i'm not willing to pay extra for.
c. Xi and Alienware both had great machines at prices withing 3% of eachother. So the final decision was based on the phone call. Xi's sales rep was great, offered some suggestions with deleted some choices and added others. The end price was 3% higher, but it was a much better machine. Alienware's sales reps were not so helpful or knowledgable (i called 2 times and got different unhelpful people, just to make sure it wasn't bad luck).
Also, the wait for a machine at Xi was 1/3 the wait at voodoo/Alienware ...
