"I purchased an MSI-1034 core duo laptop from this company. The first indication of problem was when I attempted to contact them when my order was delayed, I found the telephone number on their site did not work. They responded to my email, however, and although they exaggerated how soon it would be shipped by a couple of days, I did revieve the system in a timely manner.

It is now 3 months later, and I have a small mechanical problem with the MSI component the needs warrantee service. The phone number on their website still does not work 3 months later. I have sent them 4 emails over the course of 2 weeks asking for the process to handle this, but I have not recieved a response. There is no way to contact the company through the blog on their site either. I question if they are still in business, but their site still seems to be up and taking credit cards.

I contacted MSI about the warrantee and they will not honor any barebones warrantees on their products, so essentially this system has no warrantee since the company that sold it to me won't answer. I would not do business with them again."

"i made a purchase on a saturday morning, and received an automated confirmation for my order. on the next business day, monday, when i checked my order status online, i noticed that it said it might be as long as 10 business days before the order was shipped, which was strange being that the website listed the product (Asus Z81SP DTR laptop) as both "In Stock!" and "Available Now!".

i e-mailed xmeld and recieved a response in less than half an hour, reassuring me that the order would most likely be filled within 4 business days and that it would ship on the 22nd, and i would receive the laptop by the 29th. by the 23rd the order status still said "Building" at which point i sent an e-mail inquiring about my order. i received no response, and so i e-mailed and called on the 27th, and again, no response. there was no indication on the website or the voicemail or the e-mail invoice that xmeld was taking a vacation for the holidays, and since the customer service rep had reassured me that i would receive my order by the new year, i assumed that they were still processing my order. i called again on the 28th, and again on the 29th, with no response. my order was clearly not yet shipped, and by now they had exceeded the promised 4 business days and 10 business days time frame.

i e-mailed on the 30th warning xmeld that i was going to report them to the better business bureau and the consumer affairs office for e-commerce fraud if i didn't receive some response from them by jan 3rd 2006. at 10:20am est i received an e-mail from xmeld stating that somehow my order had been mysteriously deleted from the computer system, and that they were just going to refund the full price of my order to my credit card...

if my order was mysteriously deleted from their computer, then how do they know how much to credit me with, or which card to refund? if my order was no longer on their computer, then how come i could still access the online order status page? furthermore, they're claiming it'll take 4 business days to refund my money... this is a credit card transaction, it doesn't take that long!

stay away from xmeld like the plague, these guys are nothing but a sham, thieves at the very best. they made me wait for weeks and weeks, and then claimed that my order was deleted from their computers, but when i checked my credit card bill, they charged me the very first business day after my purchase.

buy from these guys only if you like headaches and wasting your time and money.

UPDATE: as of monday january 9, 2006, xmeld has fully refunded my credit card. thank you, it seems that there is actually someone decent working there."

"These guys are horrible, I will never deal with these ppl ever again. And I highly recommend you not deal with them neither.

I ordered a laptop, 2 weeks later, I received this POS in the mail, it seems like they were returning someone else's laptop or something and somehow they accidentally send it to me. The screws were missing, the laptop shell was falling apart, wrong specs, just horrible. I call them, they told me that this laptop came directly from their distributors. Distributors??? you mean to tell me you don't built your own laptops? and you never lay an eye on them before you ship it off to you customers? so how do you do quality control on your products??

Anyways, I sent it back and they assure me they will built me a laptop in house to the highest standards. a week later, i received a laptop where the bluetooth and the memory card reader doesn't work. needless to say, I sent it back and got a refund. never dealing with deal fools again."

"I just bought an MSI 1013 series from them. They are very knowledgeable to their products, and they will beat the competitors' price. Fast and detailed reply regarding pre-order questions, order processing, assembly, and shipping. Everythng is customizable, just ask if you need any option that they don't show on their website. They always use single stick memory to leave larger upgrade potential. Shipment date is just as promised. The notebook looks and works like a charm.
The only complaint I can think of is that they should have had their list price lowered as other resellers do."

"Xmeld needs work on informing the customer about their order's status. I was attracted to their website by good prices and customizability. When I initially called them and requested the system (making sure that all of my parts were in stock), they assured me that it would be a 4 day build and a 2 day ship. I did not request anything extraordinary in my custom-built MS-1029 notebook, but the build time ended up being 6 business days. I made it clear that I needed the system by a certain date, and yet they did not inform me that they couldnt get it to me by that time. I will update this review when I receive the system."

"Despite the fact that there are less than 20 reviews, I can honestly and confidently vouch that each good review below is well deserved.
I just recently purchased an MSI m510c from Xmeld, and they have helped me every step of the way. I must have sent them about 8 emails full of questions within 24 hours, and each email was responded to within around 15 minutes! Ordering was simple and quick. Shipping took around 5 business days, which is perfectly acceptable.
What surprised me the most is that Xmeld actually contacted me the day the package arrived asking how the system was! Such great customer service is hard to come by, and I'm sure if Xmeld keeps up this level of service, they will have loyal customers.
