The gentleman was very patient and very helpful and told me which option would be more likely so what I wanted. All in all I have found every staff member very pleasant; making this company amazing to work with."

"I wanted to take advantage of the Black Friday specials. I had already done extensive comparisons between various brands and had decided on a MSI but a different model than what I ended up with, because it was out of stock everywhere... so I went to my # 2 pick... a GS75-SE620. Xotic had that one in stock and I was tempted to add additional RAM and SSD but the extra waiting time was longer than I wanted to wait, so i went with a stock unit figuring I could upgrade myself it later. (25 yrs experience as an IT specialist builds confidence).

I was estimating 8-10 days at best before they shipped it, boy was I surprised when it shipped the very next day! It arrived 3 days later... I give them 5 stars for that.

I'm not a gamer, I bought this as a replacement for a desktop i built back in '09. I wanted updated my tech. I plan on adding VR in the near future, plus I want portability occasionally and also to downsize the required desk footprint.

Right now I'm just getting used to it, running it part time browsing, installing my apps and setting up configs. I haven't had any real issues yet although I have noticed the CPU is frequently running in the 4.+ gHz turbo range. Since the primary drive is only 500G, I really wanted more space to install VM. GIS, CAD and Grfx Apps but I just discovered the 'Factory Seal' covering a screw hole. Now I have to wait a year to upgrade the storage or else void my warranty... no thanks

I can't comment on tech support or CS but I have confidence that Xotic will be there if and when I need them. I am pleased with my purchase, so far.

My only 2 regrets are:
1. I had planned on doing a simple SSD addition in the 2nd slot and bought a 1T Evo stick - I have to wait a year before doing that.
2. Getting caught up in the Black Friday hype and rushing to get a good price before the sale deadline... today I notice Xotic has the exact same model on sale for $100 less."

Chat person or tech support should be available for a walk through build and assist the customer with advice and help as needed or required in some instances.
If you build your own as I did, you think you did a good job but you're not 100% sure.
I did copy my build to chat and they told it was a good build for gaming.... however this was after-the-fact.
Be more involved with your customers, it makes them loyal and builds trust.

"Ordering process is very smooth, was able to configure a system to my wants. (You do lose the configuration if you go back to review and then you have to re-enter info - not a big deal - just not optimal). Customer Service inquiries get answered very quickly. Email feedback is almost instantaneous. I can't comment on the equipment or shipping as the order hasn't been manufactured yet (Might want to wait to request survey response until later in the fulfillment cycle). If everything continues a definite 5-star company with great processes and controls. "

"I've only ever built one custom gaming rig in my life, and that was about 7 years ago and a desktop at that. So I've been out of the loop on Custom PC's for a while now. I was looking to buy a new rig to replace my Desktop, but also wanting something portable seeing as I'm frequently on the road these days. So decided to go with a high end laptop this time. I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of customization that a laptop could go through, and the number of possible bonuses for their Black Friday Sale, so decided to use the on site contact option to ask some questions.

These guys easily could have just fed me a line, especially over the hard drives that were generically marked "Xotic Approved" and gotten more money out of me. But they didn't! They were open and honest, answering any questions to the best of their ability. Even at one point I called them out on using a copy/paste answer, they told me it was a rather common question, and were still able to give me more info when I asked for it. They were so patient, even with the rather lengthy number of questions I had.

I won't deny that I was rather hesitant, initially, on getting a laptop from a company whose name I wasn't overly familiar with, I'm used to hearing other brand names like AlienWare etc. But these guys made picking out my new base laptop and the custom parts simple and easy! They don't try to oversell you useless gimmicks, and are even willing to point out WHAT the gimmicks are and why. Quick example being the basic Bluetooth/Wifi receiver and one of the possible upgrades. They happily informed me that the upgrade I asked about was the same thing, just a different brand but more customization with the appropriate software.

I plan to inform a few of my friends, whom have also been considering getting new/upgraded rigs, of this place and recommending that they seriously check it out before poking around elsewhere."
