"I've been in the market for a server rack cabinet to use in my home. After some research, I decided on the Middle Atlantic ERK-1825. Next step, find the best price. However, at this point, a huge factor in determining the price was the cost of shipping. An item this large is typically shipped by freight, not typical carriers like UPS and FedEx. Freight shipping is very expensive; some places even add an additional charge if the delivery is to a residential address, or flat out refuse residential deliveries.

I stumbled across You-Do-It Electronics; I emailed them for a price and shipping quote. Their response was quick and, even better, one of the best price+shipping totals I found.

I waited a few days, then went ahead and made the purchase by calling the store. By pure luck, I actually talked to the person who responded to my email. He was professional, prompt and courteous.

I placed the order on a Wednesday night; I received the rack via UPS on the following Monday. It actually would have been delivered on Friday, but it was delayed a day by UPS (made obvious by the online UPS tracking tool).

Another thing to note: most retailers who sell these racks "drop ship" them, meaning they don't actually stock the product, but have it shipped direct from the manufacturer. I've had bad experiences with this in the past (with other merchants). However, You-Do-It Electronics actually had the item in stock, so they were able to ship immediately, from their own stock, simplifying the overall process.

When the rack arrived, it was extremely well-packaged. I could tell it had actually been packaged twice: once by the manufacturer (Middle Atlantic) and a second time by You-Do-It Electronics.

This was my first time dealing with You-Do-It Electronics. I was a bit leery about placing such a large and unusual order from a company about which I'd never heard anything AND didn't have any reviews on resellerratings. I'm happy to say I had an excellent experience."
