"Purchased Daytona Treadmill in May 2012.

Delivery was a breeze. The delivery men put the treadmill in the basement exactly where I wanted it.

Assembling the upper section was no problem.

After using the tread mill for a few months I can say it is a solid treadmill. Pivot swing arm cushioning is great and after 40 minutes to an hour on the treadmill my ankles or legs are not sore. With my previous treadmill the hard platform used sometimes left me aching in the ankles or knees.

The display is easy to use and programming is convenient.

I will definitely consider Yowza my first choise when looking for another fitness item.

Delivery Experience - 5 - Through emails, we were kept informed about the delivery date. That was very helpful. I needed to find out an exact time frame, so called the delivery company. They were very friendly and told me when to expect the truck. It was delivered within the time frame we were told.

Quality and design of product - 4/ We just got it put together and it appears to be well built with a good design. We haven't used it yet, so we a unable to speak to the quality and design upon use.

Responsiveness of our staff with any other questions - N/A, We haven't had any questions yet.

The manual was very well written. At first it looks overwhelming, but once I took the time to study the graphics and read, it was all there. That is a real plus!"

"Sanibel Model. Assembly wasn't too bad, but the main piece is very heavy and you will probably need the help of a strong friend to move it into position. The assembly was only a little difficult and that was due to the instructions. Hardware part nos didnot match up to the part numbers on the bubble pack that included. I eventually figured it out. Also, some of the predrilled holes in the frame did not line up with the holes in the plastic fairing pieces.
Operation at our basic level seems pretty straight forward. The other reviews mention a clicking noise that is annoying. Over all, we are very satisfied with the product."

"Ordered a Captiva Elliptical - ordering and delivery were fast and easy, putting it together took a bit of time (about 2 hours as expected from other reviews I read), but was pretty straight-forward given the way the hardware was packed.

Using the "core" design is easy to adapt to, but the reality of training your "core" only happens if you are focusing on it and using your core muscles - this machine does not do it for you and it is possible to do the arm movements without engaging the core.

As for the machine itself - it makes a clicking noise when you are using it - a little annoying. I assume these are the ball bearings in the mechanism. Music covers the noise, but if you plan to use it quietly, you will hear background noise. Also frustrating is that it is not possible to read while working out on this machine - no book ledge and the side to side movements would make this hard with the arms of the machine moving across the reading space. Bummer.

Hardest thing about using this elliptical is the computer interface. It's hard to figure out the programs and the resistance and stride length are not very straightforward. I do not believe the calorie counter reads accurately (I have to have burned more than 28 calories in 25 minutes worth of work!)

I enjoy my time on the Captiva and the workout I get and when I focus on my core, I do feel that it works it better than other ellipticals I've used, but this is for a self-driven workout. I've given up on using the computer to guide my workout - too tricky to figure out!

"I had a Precor elliptical for many years and was looking to replace it. I looked at a lot of brands and styles, and I did a lot of on-line and in-store research. I was intrigued by what I read about the Yowza ellipticals. Although Yowza ellipticals are not in stores, Yowza connected me with a person in my area who showed me her elliptical in her home. The Yowza salespeople were incredibly nice and helpful and the logistics of ordering were easy. I LOVE my Pompano. It gives me a much better workout than my old elliptical. The footpads are really comfortable, and you get a decent arms workout as well as a core and lower body workout. I highly recommend Yowza and the Pompano."

I have never liked ellipticals because I could never get my pulse up high enough (compared to a treadmill) and I was a skeptic. The Captiva exceeds expectations. It can exhaust you if you push yourself. The action is silky smooth and not jarring. The ability to get an upper body workout, core abdominal workout, lower body, and aerobics all at once is awesome! "Unfortunately, I had to send the Biscayne treadmill back which was a big hassle that I tried to avoid at all cost and this was the number one reason that I hesitated for months to buy it; However, I really had my hopes up very high for this equipment. I guess that seeing something online versus in reality can be misleading. I hate to say this cuz for the most part the folks at Yowza were good folks, but the Biscayne treadmill is made of a very low grade/cheap plastic toy like material. Not only the console, but the entire treadmill shook violently whenever I went past 5.0 of speed. It felt as if the room in my house was going to cave in whenever I used the thing and I am only 5'6 and 152lbs. The design is just not built for those who enjoy running and are accustomed to top notch equipment. If this is your first treadmill, or you've never experienced top notch treadmills, and you don't run, you will not know the difference so it might be a good buy for you. However, I regret that i bought it and had to pay a hefty fee to ship it back, because I've never been on anything so low grade in quality. I will say that Yowza customer service was ok. In conclusion, without a doubt, a treadmill or equipment of this nature needs to be tested in person by the perspective user or only buy from a company that will foot the bill and come get the equipment if you have to return it cuz lord knows you never want to have the burden of packing up, loading and shipping something like this. It was a nightmare, but a lesson learned"

I want to say that the machine is very nice and ordering was fairly easy. The delivery was timely and the delivery person was fine.

Where things went wrong was that we paid for the professional install and we did not get "professional" installation. At first it seemed fine, the installation company contacted us and scheduled the time. When the time came, their installer (Justin) called and said he was running late. I'm was okay with that. However, a few hours later, he called and said he's not coming because his car broke down. I asked when can he come? I have tight time constraints as it is! His response was he didn't know.

I took the initiative to call the installation company to speak with his manager. The person I spoke to sounded like a person out of college, and they tell me there's no one else. By now I've wasted the entire day just to hear this. Eventually after some wrangling, they finally got Justin to agree to come the next day. He came as stated, but when he came inside the house, he was suprised that he had to take of his shoes, he made a huff about it, he did in the end. He made my nanny nervous because of his attitude and the way he was dressed - saggy jeans (with boxers exposed), unbutton shirt showing white T-shirt inside, etc..

He was shown to the room that had the delivered box, and I left him to his work. When I came back to inspect the progress, I was surprise to see that he had torn the box open in all directions. I thought that for warrantee, the machine had to be shipped back in it's original box? Shouldn't the installers know this and keep the box intact?

He did a quick job of the installation which surprised me and after he left I took a better look at the installation. Many of the components were not fitted properly and one of the plastic piece at the bottom was forced to the point that it had damaged the screw and the screw hole. I didn't trust the work Justin had performed to I had to take another day off work to take apart the unit and reinstalled it myself. The piece with the broken screw hasn't been placed back on. Because of my time constraints, I haven't actually used the machine to comment on the quality of the machine. However, off hand I did notice that one of the digital digits on the display panel look like it might be faulty.

In the end, if I would buy again? If I live in another city, maybe, but probably not if I live in Chicago. It seems Yowsa doesn't keep a tight knoweldge base on installers here.
