"I placed an order of 2 items - a pair of earrings and a pendant. I wanted the pendant but shipping kills the deal, so i chose another earrings to split shipping fee and make to final price for each item reasonable.

The pendant is shipped out few days later, then i got an email saying the earrings were out of stock.

Called customer service to ask if I can get a different item instead of the earrings, they said I have to pay for shipping fee anyway. But the order wasn't fulfilled! She said even it was their fault, I still have to pay for shipping both ways.

Reported to better business bureau.
Will never buy from Zales again.

"Horrible experience I was searching for a watch and found a citizen titanium watch that fits what I was looking for, I had a ruff time ordering the first time since I wanted to purchase it through Zales website, but once I got to the last page of the checkout it went blank and I tried it a second time, but still nothing so I used the google check out and it finally worked. I called Zales to make sure my 2 orders did not go through, then the next day I received an email saying my order was canceled and called them, and they told me it was out of stock!!!! What a horrible company not that it was out just since it was so hard to place an order, and could have told me over the phone the first time I called that it was out since the representative that I spoke over the phone was made sure my other orders were not in, and told me my order from google checkout was good."

"Zales customer service as they call it is lacking on many levels. They do not provide ample options, are unhelpful and uncaring. Their ordering process is extremely poor and nothing will ever get done the way it is meant to be done because they will only put "cancel requests" however they will never guarantee the order will be canceled, therefore chances are it will never be canceled, you will be charged and they'll be sitting on more profit. Don't waste your money with this condescending and deceptive company; find a more trustworthy jewelery store to order from."

"Placed an order for some earrings as a gift on 12/03. They shipped on 12/04 and arrived on 12/05 using FedEx Super Saver from Texas to NJ. The items were packaged well and as expected. Although the only coupon I had was for free shipping, that along with a rebate site made the purchase a good deal."

"My order was for item number 17231416. I ordered this item on November 16, 2007 at 9:34 PM. I was sent the WRONG Item. I called several times and was told to send back the item which I did and call back to get a price match done since the price went up to $129.00 , I was told this by 3 Seperate reps. I called back on 12/14 at 3am MT after contemplating if I should even bother just to be treated with absolute disrespect and told that it was NOT possible to price match this item and the lady asked whom I spoke to about this in a rather condescending tone of voice. The Agent was very rude and insisted I was wrong, That I didnt send the item back because it was not the correct item. Why would I return an item just to call back and order the SAME thing if it was CORRECT TO BEGIN WITH? Zales needs to learn about customer service. I feel this was deceptive business act. Great Job Zales!!"
