"I found some very cute shoes for my girlfriend. The price seemed a little high, but Zappos was the only online vendor to have them. I chose the free shipping and they were dispatched by UPS. For some reason, Zappos upgraded me to two day shipping, for free. However, the shoes did not arrive in two days. I checked the UPS tracking online, and discovered they were delivered two hours before I checked. Funny, no shoes here. Calls to UPS were fruitless. I informed Zappos of the situation, and they bent over backwards for me. They even re-shipped the shoes by Fedex Overnight, free of charge. Now, a month later, the original order of shoes magically appears Sunday morning on my mailbox. I guess the recipient thought they should deliver them to the right place. I call up Zappos, and they say I don't need to bother with returning the shoes. I insist to ship them back at my cost, but they say it is fine, keep them. Maybe I will donate them to a good cause. I am one impressed and happy Zappos customer."

Zappos.com no longer price matches other stores. Yet another reason not to shop there.
Zappos.com has a bad attitude with regards to customer support. I tried to place another order and their system was down, it wasn't accepting any credit cards. When I called to inform them, they rudely told me that there is no way it was their system, but rather that I should call my bank.
There was no problem with any of my credit cards but I called my bank anyway and they verified that everything was fine with my credit cards.
When I called Zappos back, by then they woke up and got a clue, admitting to me that indeed they had a problem with their credit card processing system.
I hate Zappos.com's attitude of automatically blaming their own customers for a problem which was in actuality their own. They wouldn't even consider the possibility that they were experiencing a problem on their end, instead telling me that it was my problem and not theirs. When I asked them to check to see if they were experiencing any problems on their end, they should have admitted that there might have been a problem on their end and then look into it.
I have a real problem with a company falsely blaming their own customers like this, it's plain wrong."

"I've ordered from Zappos quite a few times, and I would easily order from them again. Every time I've ordered, they've been able to ship overnight when I've only paid for standard delivery. I'm sure they do that with everyone, since it generates good feelings toward their store, but if it means I get my shoes in a day or two, that's fine by me.

"Prior to my first visit to Zappos.com, the thought of buying shoes online seemed like it would be more of a hassle than it was worth. I mean, what if it doesn't fit? What would I do then? (I must also mention I was never one of those people who own 100 pairs of shoes, and coordinate outfits with clothes and whatnot. I usually rely on 2 pairs of shoes until they bite the dust, then the toil of finding new shoes begins.)
After hearing rave reviews about Zappos' FREE and not to mention supefast shipping, and that returns were free (THEY pay the shipping for YOUR returns!) I thought I would see if they had any shoes I would like just so I could try out their service.
That was a bad idea. They have a massive selection of shoes. You would find only a fraction of styles at your local mall (I hate malls).
Want Mary Jane style shoes? Type in Mary Jane in the search engine and every type of shoe that falls into that category pops up.
Find a pair of cute shoes but have no idea how they fit? People who've bought the shoes rate how they fit (if the width was too narrow, if you should buy a half size up, etc) and you can read their review of the comfort and style of that particular shoe.
I once ordered a pair of shoes mistaking it for another pair I was eyeing, and immediately realized my mistake after sending the order. I promptly emailed (yea yea, I should have called but I'm lazy, okay) and asked if they could remove the shoe from my order.
Now, if this had been some other store, I KNOW I would have gotten back the canned response, "Sorry Cust# 123243423, You order has already shipped..." but Zappos not only took the shoe out of my order, the person who replied to my email was actually very nice and upgraded my shipping to 2-day. I was amazed at the fact that an actual person typed a response to me, instead of sending me a generic form letter and tacking their name at the bottom (which a lot of online stores do, and which makes me think they are all run by robots).
Every pair of shoes I've bought have been delivered straight to my door the morning the day after. Seriously.
I once had to return a pair (it was too small), and all I had to do was fill out a small form on the website and print out a return label. I stuck it on the box, headed over to usps.com and requested a package pickup. It_was_that_easy.
Now, my only complaint about Zappos is that it turned me into a total shoe buying addict! Kidding of course. They are the BEST place to buy shoes online, I've recommended them to countless people."
