"I worked in the Eyeglass business for twenty plus years.
I have used Zenni every few years for about ten years. I gave a optical chain a try just to compare with Zennie. Chain out of pocket price $350.00 after insurance paid $175.00. $75.00 for the exam. Comparable fames with spring hinges, lens style, coatings etc... Zenni $68.00 including shipping, without an exam. Recieved Zenni in the mail in 10 days, the same day the chain store called saying glasses were ready for pick up. The chain store attempted to fit them. She did ok but didn't seem to know how to do pantoscopic tilt. I had to do the "fitting" of both pair myself. Zenni's can't do fitting remotely. Vision acuity is similar in both. Zenni progressive lens design seems better at distance (driving) while chain' seems slightly better at near vision (reading). Bottom line. Zenni is my pick as thr winner in comparison. Not only in price but in quality and workmanship. "
