"This etailer has lost my business for good.

Order placed on 11/12/2006 with requested 2 day delivery. 3 days later it is still sitting in "Processing" status. I called customer service and asked why. I was told it was being held up for "verification". I told her that the same thing happened to my last two orders which were only about 6 weeks ago and they were cleared after playing phone tag with them. I aksed if all the order information is the same, why would this order be held up? She said she didn't know and that it was an automated system.

I never received an email notice, or a phone call about the delay.

This business doesn't have a clue of what good customer service is, but one ending egg does. So, my suggestion is to follow me over to the egg side!

"Placed order Friday night - order still 'processing' as of the following Tuesday morning but the online 'cancel' button missing. Site itself says that the 'processing' status designation may not be accurate if the website hasn't been updated(!). Contacted customer service via online Tuesday afternoon to complain about the delayed 'processing' status and request cancellation of the order - never received a response, but suddenly by Tuesday evening, the order status has changed to 'packed' and Wednesday morning, receive an e-mail that it has shipped.

You can believe that when FedEx comes to the door, the shipment will be refused and no further orders will be placed!

"Pros: Excellent prices, good selection.

Cons:
- Slow order processing. An order placed on Saturday was not picked, packed and shipped until Tuesday.
- Slow customer service response. After going through the phone tree, you are often times (4 out of 5 for me) asked to leave a message. I was never called back.
- Dreadful shipping. I recieved a shipping confirmation e-mail on Wednesday saying the package was shipped on Tuesday. The FedEx tracking number reports that the package was not actually picked up until Friday. That is 7 full days to ship my order.

"I bought a Auzentech sound card from Zipzoomfly, and it came VERY fast, and VERY reasonably priced. The cheapest of all places I could find. Zipzoomfly has free shipping and handling which is great. I plan on looking to buy Corsair XMS2 memory from them as well. They have the best prices around, and I would trust them with any purchase."

"Pros: I appreciate the effort to provide good prices, combined with free shipping on major purchases. Well look back to zipzoomfly again because their prices were surprisingly competitive.

Cons: I did not like that they do not include model numbers on their website for products, and did not include model numbers on the invoice. I spent time researching my purchases, and I know the model numbers as provided by the manufacturer(s). That ZipZoomFly omits this important detail is unsettling. Will just have to wait for merchadise to assure the model numbers of each item ordered. Would have rather varified at time of order and on the invoice (before items are shipped).

Overall: Good Prices and shipping. First time purchaser. Transaction is not yet complete.

"Item shipped next day after I ordered it. Prices are great, especially when you factor in free shipping on most things. There is also lots of info on order tracking on their site. I would recommend their site to anyone. One tiny thing that would be really nice to have though, is to sort/breakdown products by their specs instead of just group & manufacturer. Everything else way above expectation. Thank you!"

"I've been using ZZF since about 2002 (back when it was googlegear).
I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of parts and never had any problems until recently.

It seems their shipping and order status page has gone south.

Basically, the status page might show packed, yet their CS reps say the item is out of stock.
Then other times, for same product, CS rep will say it is packed and shipping that same day.

Also, it seems overly hard to reach anybody over there in a reasonable amount of time. Emails take very long to be replied, and often with canned or useless responses, like obvious information.

And trying to get anybody on the phone is hit and miss. Most of the time (9 out of 10) you will get a voice mail, and MiGHT get a callback the same day.

I used to used them all the time, but I will start using NewEgg. They are like googlegear/zipzoomfly once used to be.

It sad to see this one go south. I had become addicted to their shipping quickness, and often paid more just to get that warm fuzzy feeling that it was taken care of. Not anymore. Farewell ZZF.

"Was ordering from them almost primarily for computer related items from the time way back when they were GoogleGear, my only ongoing complaint had been they were slow to ship. Then on a Thursday I needed something Next Day, so I got on their site early, checked all their requirements and met them for same day shipping so that I could receive the item the next day. But, they didn't ship till Friday which of course means I didn't receive it until Monday, AND they totally refused to refund any portion of the Next Day shipping charges even though I did not receive the item next day. I deal with a lot of vendors, when I order with Next Day shipping I expect to receive the order the Next Day after I order, NOT the Next Day after they get around to shipping it. That is just plain ridiculous. I've ordered from them twice since but no more, now any items I would have ordered from them I order from NewEgg. And don't be swayed by any rebuff they may offer, they had a web page up outlining the points that had to be met with the order timing and the items on the order to receive same day shipping, all of which were met by this particular order.

Just wanted to add: Wow! I've been reading a lot of the negative reviews and I must say ZZZ has taken a turn for the worse from the GoogleGear days. I too had had an ongoing issue with them telling me my billing address for my CC didn't match my shipping address but it always did, and that sometimes delayed the order. I called the CC company each time to verify the address and they did, even they could not understand what the problem was.

One other item of note, I see other vendors here respond to negative feedback telling their side of the story (NewEgg, The Camera Box - which I just checked out because I am considering purchasing from them, etc.), I didn't see one response from ZZZ. I think that pretty much goes to point, they really seem to suck now. Granted in the past I would have given them stellar ratings myself, but not anymore. Anyone that has good experiences with them now, just be thankful.

And I guess all this is starting to catch up with them because their 6 month rating is over 2 points below their Lifetime rating as of this date.

"As usual, ZIPZOOMFLY gave excellent service. I placed the order on Tuesday - late evening. The order was confirmed on Wednesday and shipped from Calif. on Wednesday (I paid the extra $1.99 to have 2 day shipping with Fed-ex). On Friday, it was here in Florida at my home. I installed the Zalman 9500LED CPU cooler and it dropped my CPU temperature (Pentium D960) by 15 degrees C. Oh yes, ZIPZOOMFLY was about $20 cheaper than the other good guys (including shipping)."

"ZZF cancelled this order after they received $364 from me as a debit transfer thru Bank of America. As of this date they have not refunded this money to me although I have complained to them. ZZF refused to reinstate this order. These people don't give a rat's ass about the customer and I recommend anyone thinking of ordering from ZZF not do business with them."

"ordered memory because the mail-in rebate they showed made it a good deal. unfortunately zzf's products were not actually good for the rebates and my rebate was declined. i tried to contact zzf and asked nicely why my rebate is being refused, to my not very great surprise i got no response. i got a response from the manfufacturer though, stating i have to talk to zzf."

"Ordered an ASUS P5N32-SLI- Premium, Intel Core 2 E6600, and 2GB of Corsair Twin2X memory. After I ordered I read feedback on this merchant and became concerned over some of the recent negatives.

To make a long story short, The ASUS MB stopped running after about 15 minutes due to a bad 12v 4pin power connector on the MB. I followed their RMA instructions to a "T", documented everything comprehensively to include "marking" and photographing the bad board.

They issued their RMA on 10/24/06, received my return on 11/01/06, shipped me a new MB on 11/03/06 which was delivered to me on 11/09/06.

This RMA exercise went flawlessly and I was extremely satisfied with their handling of my return.

"ZipZoomFly actually had Logitech MX3100 Desktop I wanted when virtually nobody else had it. Order processed quickly and came on the 2nd day with FedEx 2 day shipping. Also, they called me about 6 hours after I placed my order to confirm my address. They care. I highly recommend."

"I placed an order for a Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS Sound Card, and a set of Logitech Z-5450 Digital 5.1 Speakers on 11.6.06. I upgraded the shipping to Fed-Ex 2nd day.

It is now 11.8.06, my credit card was charged for the order 2 days ago and their site still has my order listed as packed.

I don't know what happened to the level of service at ZZF... The last order I placed with them was during the GoogleGear era, and if this is the level of service ZZF offers their customers these days it will be the last order I place with them!!!

I've emailed ZZF twice now to inquire as to when my order will ship... Nadda.

If the order was not labled as packed I would cancel it and go back where customer service still means something... NEWEGG!

REVISION: After making the above review I finally received an email from support the following morning telling me my order shipped. I received my order in working condition, 7 days after placing the order. :-(

But it was obvious Fed-Ex had carelessly handled the package.

The LCD face of the Logitech control panel is severly scratched. I would ship it back to zipzoomfly for an exchange but the package weighs 50+ pounds and shipping it back would cost half of what the speaker system is worth.

All in all I'm very disappointed in the level of POST ORDER service I received from Zip Zoom Fly.
