"Ordered a hard to find mower blade. Received an email telling me how to check the status of my order. Indicated that I would receive shipping information in a couple of days. Check status everyday for a week. IN PROCESS was all I got. Emailed to cancel the order. Miraculously I get an email saying my order has been sent to shipping and should go out on the 18th of May. A follow up email was then received stating whether I wanted to cancel the order or not since it was sent to shipping.
I inquired back to keep the order butif I did not receive my order by memorial day, I would know that it did not go out on the 18th.
They followed up with their standard response, we do have the product in stock but could not guarantee that the postal service would be able to get it to me before memorial day (7 days) from washington state. Therefore we are cancelling your order.
In order to prevent getting called out on their selling or marketing products that they could not possibly honor, they turn it back on the consumer more or less saying - we don't like your attitude so **** it - instead of just saying they don't have the mower blade that has not been in production for over 5 years. "

"The day after placing my order, I received an email indicating that my order would be shipping, but no tracking number was given. After checking their website to see if I could find a tracking number for my order, I discovered that although the part I ordered was in stock, my order would not be shipping until Feb. 26th. Needless to say, I was definitely put off at the slow shipping of their orders, since I needed the replacement part quickly, and had I known at checkout that they couldn't ship it within 2-3 business days, I would have ordered from a different company.

Today, Feb 29th, I emailed their customer service to see if they had a tracking number for my order or to cancel my order if it had not yet shipped, and here's their reply:

We’re very sorry, but your order did not go out on Friday due to circumstances beyond our control.
We have cancelled your order and voided the charge to your card.

As an online seller myself for several years, I am appalled that another business operates this way. I try to ship within 24 hours of an order being placed, and since I mostly ship through the USPS, I ship through the end of the day Saturday as well. If I am going on vacation or having a long weekend, I plan ahead of time by shipping some inventory to Amazon, so they can fulfill my orders. Then, I can close my shop and just respond to customer emails.
A week of "circumstances beyond our control" is completely unacceptable, and abtecparts should strongly consider a different business model, since the current one isn't working."
"Ordered some replacement bowl/grinder parts for a coffee grinder and parts did not fit because my machine was manufactured after a certain date, but had the same model number. Description for parts was very unclear. Customer service would not reimburse any shipping charges and was very rude about telling me I ordered the wrong part.
