"I sure wish I had read the reviews before dealing with this company. I ordered a comforter set 7/09/10, it was back ordered and was to be shipped out 7/15. I never recieved it until the 29th. When it finally arrived I hated it,never took it out of the plastic bag and contacted aj moss about returning it. They told me there was a 15% restocking fee which on 300.00 it cost me $45.00 to return it, it also cost me $24.00 to ship it back,a total of $69.00. I'm furious and will never deal with this company again! It's been 2 weeks since I sent it back and haven't recieved the refund yet, even though UPS said it had been delivered a week ago, so I called aj moss and told them I wanted my refund,5 minutes later I recieved an e-mail stating it was proscessed.They of course took the money out on the 9th, so it's been 1 whole month dealing with them.I don't know how they stay in business.I for one will never deal with them again,and everone I know will hear about this experience!"
"Horrible people to deal with...The bedding shipped on the 15th of May. Did not like the feeling of the bedding. It felt like a pair of jeans. Not anything I wanted to sleep with. I returned the item had to pay $30 to ship it back to them. It is now June 6th and still no return on my credit card. Cannot get anybody to return an email. Never would I buy from this company again. I wish I would have read these reviews before my purchase of $300.00. I would have found somewhere else to spend my money!!!!!"

"I had a horrible experience with aj Moss. I contacted them about a comforter that I had for 4 days that ripped. I wanted to see if I could exchange it or as a return customer if they would help me on the purchase of a duvet (hoping the fabric backing would be thicker). I was told that Jami would check and get back to me. I did not hear back for a number of days. I e-mailed to see if there was an update and still nothing. I finally called back and was told that they sell their merchandise below cost so if they sold a replacement to me at cost - I would be paying more. I was also told that the manufacturer no longer sells the comforters or duvets as pieces, you have to buy the whole set. So basically, they would not offer me anything. And, I couldn't even purchase another comforter. I asked for a manager and was told that she was it. I asked for contact info for the manufacturer and was told no. I was finally given the e-mail address of an owner. I e-mailed him and did not hear back for a week. I finally e-mailed again saying that obviously customer service is not a priority for them and he responded that he spoke with Jami and she said that things were taken care of - wonderful customer service. If you are looking for a cheap comforter from a company that cares nothing about you - aj Moss is it!"
"I had an excellent experience with this company. I ordered about $3100 worth of Attic Heirlooms furniture for my mom's dining room on 1/14/2008. Shipping was free, and I didn't have to pay tax (ajmoss is in NH), so I saved about $1200 over the closest dealer I could find. They told me the furniture would arrive in "six to eight weeks" but the delivery company called me about 3 1/2 weeks later (2/11/2008), and the furniture arrived at my Mom's house on 2/16/2008--about a month after my
purchase.
I spoke with Shannon and Dana (?) in customer service, and they were very friendly and helpful. The Broyhill pieces are beautiful. The price was great! I'll use this company again--I recommend them for sure. "
"Unfortunately, my experience is very similar to the last entry. I ordered a Broyhill Entertainment Center and matching end table on 12/6/07. The full amount of the purchase was placed against my charge card and the confirmation e-mail indicated a delivery time of 3-6 weeks. I thought that was reasonable.
The original e-mail also stated that the end table was backordered until 12/18/07 but it would probably not affect the delivery date.
AJ Moss was inconsistent with their replies to my follow up e-mails.
I had planned a Super Bowl party after one of the e-mails stated that delivery by the Super Bowl date would not be a problem. To AJ Moss' credit, they did provide an $80.00 credit for items purchased for the party that now sit in my refrigerator and freezer.
I was sent an e-mail stating delivery would be on 2/11/08, however, I did not receive a phone call to arrange delivery. I called Shannon at AJ Moss and specifically told her that I would be on vacation 2/11-2/18 and that I would like to be called on my cell phone to arrange delivery. Guess what? The delivery service called my home phone and left a message.
Delivery is now scheduled for 2/25. I live in Lancaster, PA, but the delivery service is out of Baltimore. After reading the previous entry, I'll be surprised if the delivery is completed on 2/25 (11 weeks and 1 day after ordering).
Evidently shipping of product is OK if you purchase bedding, but don't purchase furniture from this vendor. You'll be very dissatisfied.
I saved a couple of hundred, only to be "charged" much more in aggravation.

"This is, by far, the very worst company I have had business with.
On 11/25 I placed an order for $1670 of furniture. Received confirmation email and HAD MY CREDIT CARD CHARGED on that day. Website said most furniture delivery in 3-4 weeks, but MAY take up to 2 months.
Three weeks later, received an email stating they had placed my order with the furniture manufacturer. I emailed back to enquire what had happened in the the 3 weeks since they accepted my order and charged my card. Received an email the next day stating they were "sorry for yesterday's email; it was a mistake", and they really had submitted my order on the day I ordered from their website, and that it would be picked up on 1/5 and would be delivered 7-10 days after that.
On 1/11 I enquired by email about an exact delivery date; on 1/15 received a reply that it would be picked up 'this week' and delivered in 7-10 days.
On 1/22 I received an email that my furniture would be picked up 'today' and delivered in 7-14 days, and to expect a call 1-2 days before delivery to arrange a day/time.
On 2/6 I emailed that I had received no call yet.
On 2/12 I finally received a call to arrange delivery between 3pm and 5pm the next day, Wednesday.
I took time off work to receive the furniture. At 5pm I received a call that the truck was stuck in a ditch, delivery would be made tomorrow, Thursday.
I took another day off work to receive my order - no delivery, no phone call. Phone calls to aj Moss were unanswered all day - phone lines not in service. Finally got through late in the evening and was promised delivery the next day.
Friday,I took yet ANOTHER day off work to receive the furniture. At mid-day I received a phone-call that my furniture will be delivered 'for sure' on Monday.
So, I get to take yet another day off on Monday and see if my furniture will be delivered.
I will update this review then.
So, this company gives - and then misses - many deadlines, yet they take your money the day you order.
UPDATE: Finally received delivery of my Broyhill furniture on Monday, February 18th, over 12 weeks since I ordered. I am VERY pleased with the furniture, very dissatisfied with the seller. I will never purchase from them again."
"I love this website. It's easy to find the bedding that you want. The prices were equal to the competitors, and it was easy to to use the shopping cart so I bought from them.
My orders took two weeks to arrive, but I was notified that it was going to be that long so I was satisfied. When I called to find out where my package was the nice lady offered to send me fabric from the bedding while I waited.
I will buy from them again."
"The ajMoss website is fine. It's easy to navigate and provides lots of selection with good detailed views of the products. That's primarily why we ordered from ajMoss.
HOWEVER, after initial indications that our items would be shipped in 2-4 weeks, we ultimately had to wait more than 9 weeks!
That would be bad enough, but ajMoss debited our charge card IMMEDIATELY. So they were holding $380 of our money for more than 2 months. When we emailed them to inquire if this was a mistake, ajMoss replied that it was their standard policy to validate and charge credit cards at the time of the order.
Nevertheless, this is NOT standard practice for internet retailers and is not exactly ethical since the purchaser loses considerable leverage once the seller has been paid.
Consider also, if a dispute were to arise between us and ajMoss, we could no longer look to our credit card company to withhold payment, since, after 2 months, the funds would already be in ajMoss' hands.
Finally, when the order arrived in 2 shipments, the items were as ordered, but one of the 2 boxes did not include an invoice for the contents. This could hamper attempts at a return, and indicates a sloppy operation at ajMoss.
I would think twice before ordering from these people.

"Purchased drapes (3 pairs-49" x 84") for hanging on rings with clips. Very pleased with website, order process, timely shipment, and quality of product ordered. On website you can see closeup of product and separate view of fabric all on same page. Caution: a note on website states "Hurry, sales ends [next day date]" This note changes daily to the next day's date which is misleading. Other than that I couldn't be more pleased. The drapes are very well made, lined, quality consistent from one panel to the other and the matching pillow is well made too."
