"I bought my son's first math book from Alibris. He turned 29 this year. I use to love Alibris and refer lots of people to them. Now I warn people about the terrible customer service, the website malfunctions, and the inability to speak to a real person. I recently made the mistake of purchasing books from them. I actually never had the chance to review my order, it simply confirmed my order had been completed. No chance to check my address, which needed to be changed, or remove any unwanted items. I e-mailed right away, but it took a couple days for someone to e-mail me back. By then the order had been shipped, except one book. Alibris takes no responsibility for the issue. Alibris will not give a refund. Alibris can't tell me when to expect the one book that is actually coming to the correct address. I am not sure why I gave them a second chance.
I use to call and get help with orders for Christmas, shipping to several addresses. The customer service rep would help me find my books from as few different sellers as possible to save on shipping. That doesn't happen anymore. I bought hundreds of books from Alibris. Not anymore."

They never sent your payment by tracking means and i opened my account on 10th august and till today no payment is there .They mentioned that they sent the check on 9th September.But when i asked for tracking number , the answer was we have no tracking means it with normal mail.
And now no one is replying me and even the PAT WADE closed my account as he think i did drop shipping .Also i sent all tracking numbers .No where in there policies they have mentioned that they will send check by usps normal mail."
"Long story short, I had to email them 3 times because there is no number, and everything is through email and had to ask for proof of them refunding me $102 and confirmation, finally they said oh yea something went wrong and we will redo it. 30+ days and continuous emails for them to finally refund my money, no one needs that."

I am very upset because amazon's same book was available at the time I ordered from Alibris (Wednesday) and today I cannot find the book!!! and I cannot afford $441.65 dollars for the book! honor your online orders!!!! Just make miss the opportunity of purchasing the book in another serious website where they honor the online orders.

"Absolutely the worst for customer service. Told book could take "21 to 24" days to arrive, but when it didn't, I was asked to "wait a bit longer". A bit longer to Alibris is another three weeks. To have to wait a month and a half for an order to arrive after the ititial order is completely over the top. Avoid this company like the plague ! (or the pandemic ! "

Alibris is of the few options for those who want to stop funding that corporate giant; Amazon.
Even with the $15 shipping cost it can sometimes be comparable to the Amazon.ca prices.
They have quite a decent selection too.The Alibris coupons are rather useless to Canadian buyers.
