"I placed my order with Allstarhealth recently (March 28) after a few days of hesitation (this was due to my own experience of not receiving responses from them and based on reviews of customers).
After I placed my order, I was asked to verify with them the exact amount that was charged and refunded to my credit card. I verified immediately with them that it was $1.33 charged and refunded to my credit card. I then was asked to provide them with the correct international for billing address for the credit card used on my order and the address in my country that my card is registered. They said: “once you have provided this information, we will be able to proceed with the order”..... I have done everything at their requests because I thought it was a good protection for me, for customers. But unfortunately they did not do anything with my order therefore I had to cancel my order and of course asked for the refund. It has been almost 10 days since I asked for my refund, it has not been credited to my Credit card. They said it was declined by my bank. I then called and wrote to my bank informing them of this issue. My bank decided to charge back the amount of $251.33 but again it was declined. After a number of eMails exchanged between me and Allstarhealth, I asked for the record of the declined refund. I was so surprised and angry that they refunded the money to someone who is not the card holder. They must have understood that refund must be credited back to the card holder, which is the principal. It doesn't matter what is the name of the person who is the card holder, the refund need be credited back to the Credit card.
I have been shopping with a number of organizations in America such as: Amazon, Iherb, Lucky Vitamin, Health Central USA and some others. But this is the first time ever I have had these problems: verification of the card, refund money to the card..... When I first shopped with Iherb, I was also asked to verify with them the amount they charged and refunded to my credit card and they satisfied with my verification...... I did sometimes cancel my order with them but they simply refunded the money to my credit card without any issues. I have now noticed the differences between these organizations and Allstarhealth in that Allstarhealth refunded the money to the recipient of the order but not the card holder. I had to go through lots of troubles to provide them with privacy of my personal life. I did explain to them that the name as recipient is not my name, it is simply the code given by the shipping company...... They again do not reply to me, still keep my money. I have to contact my bank again for help.
I have been very stressed, worried and angry at what is happening as I have never experienced these issues before in my shopping with other organizations. I regretted having shopped with them and blamed myself for not doing it with my usual decent and good reputation organizations, where the cost might be higher but I would have peace of mind.
I have just written to this organization, asking them to confirm to my bank that the refund was not successful. I do hope they would do this to resolve the matter.
A painful lesson learned.
Updated: Allstarhealth still keeps my money
I am writing again with regards to the amount of $251.33 charged by Allstarthealth. It has been almost 3 weeks and this issue has yet resolved completely by Allstarhealth. They said it would take 2-3 business working days to clear my bank but they have not asked their Bank to accept the Charge Back done by SHB bank. I am in tears at the moment when writing this review. I was so stressed and worried because it has been so long for me to deal with this issue which I have never experienced in my life before.
I am the true Cardholder but wrongly misunderstood by them. They gave themselves the right to change my name, which is ridiculous. They made nonsense excuse by saying: “The customer had entered HNKYDUYEN on her billing address contact name for this order, so that is why that was listed on this order. This has been updated to the embossed name on the card”, which is not correct. This has never happened with other organization. In the payment information with Allstarthealth, I did filled in very clearly: NGUYEN THI NGA as cardholder, which I still have the screenshot as proof.
I do not understand why they have yet accepted the Charge Back from my bank while they keep saying:”we will absolutely make sure you get the refund”.
I do hope they would cooperate with my bank to clear this issue so that their reputation is not destroyed more. As a seller, they should know that the Trust from customers is very essential which should not be exchanged for anything else.
I am so depressed and disappointed with this issue but I do blamed myself for falling into this trap. It is a very painful lesson that I will never ever forget. I hope my review helps building trust online and empower consumers everywhere."
