"Ambry.com absolutely exceeded my expectations. I was searching for a very obscure discontinued forms printer, the Lexmark 2380+, and came across Ambry.com and a few others. I initially went with another site due to a lower price for a refurbished unit; however due to delayed and non-communicated order and inventory issues on their side, I promptly returned to Ambry.com. I was a bit skeptical after my encounter with their competitor, but Ambry's website mentioned it was in stock, condition - *new*, with a 1-day lead time, so I decided to proceed.
I called customer service to estimate shipping and got a helpful person on the phone after a single ring, very impressive. I asked to proceed, but they couldn't provide the lower internet website price over the phone, which is fine so I proceeded back to the website to complete the order. Back on the website, the price had actually gone up in the few minutes that had past since I was on the phone with customer service, and the $11 shipping discount had mysteriously disappeared... a little shady but plausible and still worth the new price if the printer is actually *new*. Fortunately, I already had the printer in my cart at the previous price and I was able to proceed cautiously optimistic.
Other than the strange issue with pricing, that I narrowly avoided, the remainder of the order went through without a hitch. In fact, it went better than I could have expected. The printer shipped with zero lead time, so it shipped UPS ground the same day it was ordered. The printer arrived right on time today. The printer was professionally packed and was indeed brand-new. So overall, Ambry.com far exceeded my expectations after previous difficulties in obtaining this rare item. Only could have been better if I could have used the shipping coupon that mysteriously disappeared when ordering."

"I bought two refurbished HP xw6000 workstations a couple of years ago, primarily because I wanted to get a more powerful system without having to change to Windows Vista. They had only 40 GB hard drives, ample for the time these systems were developed but just barely adequate now. While upgrading to 500 GB hard drives, I decided to max out the memory (as purchased they had 2 GB). Through online chat with HP I got the part numbers for the correct 1 GB modules, along with a link to the order page at Ambry.com. My order for four of them was placed around 1:00 a.m. on 9/8, and I specified the lowest cost shipping option, with a delivery of 4 or 5 business days.
I received my order about 6:00 p.m. on 9/9, which was a pleasant surprise. The parts were correct, and I installed them with no problems.
I was so pleased with this experience that I ordered four more modules for my second system on 9/10/2010. Unfortunately, when the second order arrived, I found that they were not for the correct frequency. Contact with customer service on 9/13 promptly resolved the problem and a replacement arrived by air on 9/14. It was particularly nice to deal with people for whom American English is their first language. I don't hear well, and conversation with people from India is difficult for me to understand.
Following these experiences, I ordered replacement fans for my Dell 9100 laptop, which arrived well within the time quoted for UPS standard delivery.

Yesterday an old legacy (circa 1992) DeskPro 486/66 M desktop blew its power supply.
