"I had ordered a conair hairdryer. It came in 2 days fast deliver and great prices and customer service.Would definetly shop with them again."
"Different website, but seems to be the same company with planetappliance.com.
I wrote this review on planetappliance.com:
DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE COMPLETE LIARS!!! MAJOR RISK OF TAKING YOUR MONEY!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.
If you want more details, read on.
I should've come here first to see the review before purchasing. The first review is from it's own company. How could you trust a company that does that? (Update on Dec.: review got deleted)
I have purchased a Hoover vaccum. As of today, I received 4 different tracking number.
1. Someone elses tracking number.
2. Delivered to my home, but wrong item.
3. The order that was probably correct, but on the day that it was scheduled to be delievered, it was redirected back by the shipper
4. After emailing to cancel my order and won't be accepting any package if sent out later, I received a response that they will credit back payment. NO REFUND, and they just went ahead with shipping another package which probably was another wrong item that was 15 pounds (the vacuum that I ordered was ~30 pounds) and I told my family to reject it. (I was not at home, so I can't verify if they really did send out another wrong item)
For the 1st wrong item that they sent to me, they told me to send it back to a RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS and they'll reimburse it but they haven't done it yet. Also, I have been requesting several times to cancel the order, and out of the few replies (more than half of my emails where ignored or the request I wrote was totally ignored) I got a reply that they will credit it, but they never did.
From looking at the tracking number, all the products seemed to have been shipped from NJ, and all the returned, including the rejected one, seemed to go to the same RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS in NY. The company address seems to point to a office suite and not a store. The company may be run by 1 or few people, using outside distributors to send out the items. On the otherhand, they could be crooks and trying to steal the items with your money.
UPDATE (10/23/2008)
I paid by paypal so I filed a dispute about a week ago. After a week, seller did nothing to solve, so I decided to escalated to PayPal claim. Most probably paypal sent out an email to them, and the next day they partially refunded. They took off the shipping charges for the item that I never received. Why do I have to pay shipping for the ridiculous errors they caused?
I won't close the dispute in paypal, and probably report it to the BBB to atleast get back the shipping charge for the wrong package I sent back to them.
UPDATE(11/21/2008)
Got a email from a Paypal agent confirmed of the merchant's fault, but said they can't guarantee refund. I checked my account and somehow paypal was able to credit for the shipping charge of the vaccum, but I still haven't gotten the return shipping charge for the wrong item.
Update (1/19/2009)
They used to have a BBB logo on their website, but not anymore. They weren't even registered from the start."
