"Between asiHome and their distributer, I'm not sure which on I'm more dissapointed with. It was very encouraging to order from asiHome because of their excellent price. In fact after some long hard searching, there wasn't a better price around. But that was for a reason, they don't carry any inventory. Rather, their distributer drop-ships the items. This is a problem because if something isn't in-stock, it doesn't show on asi's site. So the remote I purchased was due to ship in 7-10 days. Now over 2 months later, I asked for a refund. This is partly Xantech's wrong doing also since they kept pushing the arrivale date back, and back, and back some more. Apparently, a low selling price shouldn't have been my main focus, but rather someone who actually had my items in stock. Correspondence between asiHome and their distributer was good but there's nothing like hearing your items will be another 6 weeks to ship just to save a few dollars. Overall, I'd probably order from them again, but before I do, I'll be calling to make sure the items are avaliable before finalizing the purchase."
"I've placed two orders with ASIHome now and have had an overall positive experience. Their prices are great, service good, and they are even active in online z-wave community forums that help DIYers like me.
My first experience was disappointing due to the length of shipping (my order took over 3 weeks to get to me), but since then I've noticed they have started clearly stating shipping times for each product on the site, so this shouldn't be an issue, or at least a surprise anymore. For my second order with them I purchased a handful of items which were all listed as in-stock. These all shipped within 24 hours of my order.
All things considered, I definitely recommend them with the only caveat being to double check the stock level and shipping status of each item if you need it in a timely manner.

"I have made two purchases since 2007 from ASI Home because they had the best, or close to the best prices on all the Leviton Structured Media Center supplies that I needed AND the most reasonable shipping costs! The staff is very polite and helpful. The items that were not in stock were shipped separately in a reasonable amount of time at no extra cost after I received the items that were in stock. The web site could use a better search engine as well as an option to show many more items per page to reduce the number of pages to browse through and the in-stock quantity of all items."
"Will be my last order asiHome. It took 22 days to deliver my order. I paid an extra 23.95 to have it delivered overnight. At one point I asked them to cancel the order. They sent it anyway to a different address than than the first part of the order. In total I spent about 1400 dollars with asiHome. Their website is useless. When you order you have no idea what is in stock. Responses while prompt are not very informative. I plan on buying 2k-3k worth of modules over the next year none of that will be with asiHome. No doubt in my mind I would have had a better experience buying from anyone else."
"I ordered a Leviton timer switch from ASI Home after ordering the same switch from two other online stores. The problem was that Leviton had discontinued the switch and has yet to introduce its replacement, so if a store had no switch in stock, they had to cancel the order. ASI Home had the switch (which matches another in our house) and sent it the same day.
The switch was $25.59 and shipping was $7.95. The shipping seemed high to me, since I was in no hurry to receive the item, but the shipping charges seemed comparable to other stores.
Overall, this was a positive experience."
"I will not order from AsiHome again due to outrageously long deliver time with no effort to keep me informed.
Ordered EZ-RJ45 Crimp tool plus 50 connectors ($70 plus $7.95 shipping) on Friday, Oct 2, 2009. This common product is sold by at least 138 vendors per Google products. Received confirmation that order will ship in 7-10 days, no parts missing to delay order. No additional messages from AsiHome. On day 11 (10/12), emailed another request for current status and tracking number. AsiHome's response was it will ship in 1 to 3 days MORE, no parts missing. On day 13 (10 plus 3; Oct 15), asked again for status and tracking number. The shipment was entered into UPS on 10/15 with delivery scheduled for 7 more days, Oct. 22. It arrived on that date. Total time from order date to delivery: 20 days. Outrageous, especially since I have to ask for order status. Lesson learned: Don't order from AsiHome."
