"I've had a bad experience with this company similar to the other dissatisfied customers. The battery I received is not the one that was pictured on their webpage, it does not hold a charge and was not delivered by Royal Mail as the webpage guarantees. I've now had to purchase a decent battery from a reputable company. The matter with batteries-trade.co.uk is now in dispute with Paypal"
"THE LAPTOP BATTERY FAILED AFTER 11 MONTHS INTO A 3 YEAR WARRENTY AND BATTERIES-TRADE.CO.UK WOULD NOT SEND A REPLACEMENT BATTERY. INSTEAD THEY OFFERED A REPLACEMENT BATTERY AT REDUCED COST WHICH I RELUCTANTLY PAID FOR BUT IT NEVER ARRIVED. I THINK THEY WERE TRYING TO DELAY THINGS UNTIL A PAYPAL 'CLAIM TIME' EXPIRED. I AM SMARTER THAN THEM AND GOT MY CLAIM IN BEFORE THE DEADLINE DATE AND PAYPAL REFUNDED FROM THEIR ACCOUNT. THEY DID NOT ANSWER MINE OR PAYPAL EMAILS AND SO BATTERIES-TRADE.CO.UK SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. THE NAME ON THE COMPANY IS 'CHAN CHI WANG' AND THEY ARE NOT UK BASED BUT HONK KONG. THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WILL DEAL WITH THEM OR THE FAR EAST AGAIN AS I WOULD RATHER PAY EXTRA FROM A UK COMPANY. AS THE SONG GOES MY BATTERY WAS ON A 'SLOW BOAT FROM CHINA' AVOID, AVOID, AVOID AT ALL COSTS."
"I ordered a Toshiba Battery from these people. They claim they sent it on the following day. After a month of waiting I chased them on a daily basis and they said they were check the shipping. They dis this for two weeks and kept telling me they had shipped the item. They tried to blame the Royal mail and asked me to check (about ten times) at my local post office. It then became clear that they were crooks and had not shipped it to me. I thenraised a dispute and then a claim on Paypal who refunded me for my purchase. The payment was collected by a CHAN CHI WANG on 30 Oct 2011 and never heard of again.
I think anyone should think twice before dealing with these people. They ship from Singapore and are NOT a UK based company although they have a .co.uk website."
"I'm not this merchant, I am a member of the UK public.
I agree completely that these guys are dodgy and probably sell bad batteries to some people. They took my order which is fair enough it was online, then i looked them up because i had a bad feeling when i pressed click and saw the reviews on this website.
I tried to cancel by sending them an email but the next morning they wrote back and said they had already sent it when i had emailed them pretty much immediately after i made the order. So they could have a bad backlog in the office and the shipping people sent the order through the automated system.
The battery works though !
I have used it for two days, and the battery program i run on it says the capacity is good.
Who knows, maybe you could be a 1 in 50 customer like me.
Good day !"
"I do a lot of buying over the internet, but seldom have I come across a company with as poor service as this one.
I ordered a new laptop battery. First, it took a long time to get to me; when I did receive it, it would not charge. I communicated with the company over a considerable period and they had me try all sorts of things, without success. Finally, they told me they had sent me the wrong battery and asked me to return it, which I did.
I have been trying to get my money back ever since. Time and again they say they are refunding my PayPal account, but it never happens! Now, it is too late to raise the matter with PayPal as they wasted so much time at the beginning. I am appalled that this company must be taking money from people for faulty goods right, left and centre. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS!"
"Batteries-trade have a warehouse address which it seems is a block of business offices, no warehouse as such and the receptionist when phoned didnt even know who Batteries-~Trade were.
They take your order based on sending Registered Royal Mail, which is UK based and then after clearing payment notify you that they will send the item from the Far East, if you dont like it tough luck they refuse to cancel the order.
Communication is worse than poor, either they dont speak good English or are not literate enough to understand what the email says.
They eventually cancel and order and a battery turns up weeks later on a different postal service to what you've first been given. The goods are not always as described, my battery looks nothing like the one that came with the laptop and I nearly broke my toes when the battery fell out.
Orders can take up to 4 weeks and not the number of days they say on their web site.
Refuse to give a telephone number and wont address issues stated in emails.
They only accept payment via paypal knowing that refunds will be hard to get when a dispute is started.
They offer refunds up to a certain number of days after the order is placed according to their web site but then refuse to give the refund.
They say they dont accept goods back at their warehouse, what warehouse!!!!!!!!! warehouse address has inaccurate Post Code and the street address is a block of offices and they dont know who Batteries-trade are.
I would never order from Batteries-Trade again in fact my biggest regret is loosing over £70 to them in the first place.
Never again
I finally got my money back from PayPal but I also received an email from Batteries-Trade, they want the battery back but:-
They refuse to give me a UK address and say I have to return it to their supplier in the Far East. No way, if I buy from what is a UK company I return to an address in the UK.
And the best part is that it is a condition when I return it that I mark the package at a small fraction of the cost as they dont want any Customs & Excise problems.
Needless to say I will not make a false statement to customs and excise so now Batteries-Trade refuse to answer emails so I have the battery which is no use to me."
"BUYER BEWARE

"Order was not delivered on within 2-Wks till I left address in Kent on 7th May. I then sent an e-mail requesting that Order be re-directed to Bristol. I got a response from a certain Grace who said OK and said delay was due to Ash Cloud. Till today 5th June. Order has not been delivered. No advise from Batteries-Trade."
"AVOID...AVOID...AVOID... THIS CHEATING COMPANY.
I too checked they had a UK web address and a London based office. I ordered, and was sent (from Hong Kong) a Laptop Battery. It doesnt work. I am trying to return it for a refund as per their Terms and Conditions. They will not reply to my emails.I have sent letters by recorded post and have heard today, 5th May, from another company in that building that they have no forwarding address for batteries-trade.co.uk. I too paid with Paypal thinking it was safe. I ticked the box saying it was 'not as described'. But that type of complaint is not covered. Case closed. I complaind to EBAY about them advertising on their webpage but they told me to complain to Google. I have emailed Watchdog: awaiting a reply. I also have an 'Open Case', about this company, with consumerdirect.gov I will be intouch with them again. This company have to be stopped steeling money from consumers.

"AVOID.....AVOID....AVOID...
This company appears to have a U.K. web address and a London base office and warehouse but trade from HONG KONG.
They will not answer any emails and there is no other way to contact them.
I mistakenly thought it safe to use PayPal to purchase branded goods that were advertised to be in stock... HOW WRONG I WAS.
It was only when I involved PayPal that I got a response on Batteries-Trade tracking web page.
Despite PayPal’s declaration on their home page “ PAYPAL, THE SAFER, EASIER WAY TO PAY ONLINE”.
PayPal provides a LOOPHOLE that will close a dispute or claim if the seller sends you anything... yes ANYTHING!!
I got sent anything and was robbed by BATTERIES-TRADE.CO.UK. and then promptly let down by PayPal with:
“Dear Allan,
Because you reported that this claim has been amicably resolved, this case has been closed”.
DON’T USE THIS TRADER.
IF YOU ARE A TRADER YOU CAN GET PAYPAL OFF YOUR BACK AND SEND THE CUSTOMER ANY OLD RUBBISH.
PayPal will only protect you if you purchase through Ebay, no protection for you if purchase on a traders web site!
Avoid this double whammy!!!!
Allan
