"As a valued customer of Shari’s Berries for well over ten years, I have received dozens of strawberries from their company and have enjoyed them immensely. The taste of their white chocolate, the presentation, along with the sweetness and juiciness of the berry itself has always made me come back for more.
It's been a couple of years since I’ve ordered from Shari’s Berries and told my husband I would like some for my birthday. He had a dozen of ‘white chocolate berries’ delivered, along with beautiful roses and lilies from Flowers.com (through Shari’s Berries), this past Friday in celebration of my birthday.
Immediately, thrilled to have Shari’s Berries, I opened the dozen! I immediately noticed the presentation of the berries weren’t as previously experienced. Their appearance reminded me of white chocolate dipped strawberries that I get from the food trucks in our neighborhood. They were not fully coated like the strawberries I used to receive from Shari’s Berries. The backsides of the strawberries weren’t fully covered as they were placed on a sheet to dry/harden after getting dipped in the white chocolate.
The strawberries were large in size, like normal, with Shari’s Berries. However, they weren’t sweet whatsoever. I’m not used to that with Shari’s Berries. In fact, I always ordered from Shari’s Berries because of the sweetness of the berries and the incredible taste of the white chocolate, followed by the beautiful presentation of the strawberries in general.
Upon their delivery, I noticed they weren’t delivered the way I’ve always had them delivered before. Instead of receiving a shipment in the mail from California, packed on ice, the Shari’s Berries box itself was delivered on the ground at my front door, while the driver rang the doorbell. This tells me that a local supplier working with Shari’s Berries is the one who processed our order and the very reason why my berries weren’t like they’ve always been previously.
I called Shari’s Berries customer service to inquire about how you process orders now. If they’re shipped from California or if they’re made locally. The customer service rep said they are outsourced to the local area for freshness. Well, I always had freshness when they were shipped to me from California – along with sweetness, presentation, and the juiciness of the strawberries. Quality and taste now lacks greatly.
Please don’t get me wrong, I ate my berries but certainly didn’t enjoy them like I have for many years and many previous deliveries. Now that Shari’s Berries has gone this route, I’ll be searching for a different company which is very unfortunate. I have always been so loyal to Shari’s Berries when it comes to ordering from a company. My advice is to order elsewhere for gourmet strawberries."
"I ordered a dozen for my Birthday on April 8th, it took all day for them to get here. Boy was I disappointed when they arrived. They didn't smell fresh and the stems were semi brown. The chocolate taste like wax with very little flavor. I think the chocolate was old, as soon as you Bite the berries all the chocolate cracks and falls off immediately. I have had way better chocolate covered strawberries at a bakery in the grocery store for way less money. I will never order from them again. I think I'll try Harry& David for better quality. It's April 11th I still have 10 berries left, their that disgusting. Shari's berries ****, please don't waste your hard earned money on them. HONEST OPINION!!!!!!"
"Placed an order on 2/10 for delivery on 2/14 . Never arrived. Called put on 14 min hold then hung up on. Called back that rep couldn't do anything because the pervious rep was in the order. Told I would get a call back in 14 mins. 30 mins later no call so called again. Told would be delivered the 16th! That is not what I ordered, I ordered for Sunday the 14th no the 16th. DON'T use this site to order! I will never order thru them again. "

"I placed my order mid January to be delivered to my husbands office on February 12. The order did not arrive by the guaranteed delivery window. I called the customer service department just to discover that the customer service had been moved to the Philippines. I spent over three hours on the phone with multiple different customer service reps each time asking for a supervisor just to be told that the supervisors are busy or they are unavailable. Finally I did speak with a supervisor who supposedly contacted the third-party delivery vendor (Not actual Shari's Berries that I paid for) Who said that they would deliver them to my home today February 13. We stayed home all day to wait for a delivery that NEVER came! So now my Valentine's Day is completely ruined! They did not offer a refund, they did not offer a replacement product, and they did not give me any date to which I could expect to receive a delivery! The provided no assurance that I would ever receive the order that I paid for for. I have been a loyal customer for over 6 years. I never had this problem when the orders were actually being shipped from the Shari's Berries location and being delivered by UPS. At that point in time the quality was great and I did not mind paying for the shipping or expedited shipping to ensure a fabulous gift. I'm not sure who's running this company, but they are running a perfectly good company in the ground. This will assuredly be the final time that I ever use this company."
"My flowers arrived dead. I called their customer service for a refund and they wouldn’t give me one!! I spent too much money to receive my flowers in the condition they arrived. Don’t waste your money, order elsewhere."
"Go somewhere else- the order was not processed properly and going on 2 different days for delivery. (5) phone calls later after being hung up on and treated poorly by customer service, I needed to cancel the order and go with Edible Arrangements who could fulfil the order in short. One customer service rep suggested that I just tell my wife that I am sorry from the company! I was promised same-day delivery a day in advance and no one could or would help. Ridiculous If you are looking for next day delivery go somewhere else."
"DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!! DELIVERY IS AWFUL!! I ordered online for my boyfriends birthday and the website gave me the option to deliver on Sunday (his birthday) and even sent me a "your order has been delivered" email on the expected delivery date. I called customer service because my boyfriend tells me he hasn't received anything and the representative tells me that the local shop is closed on Sunday. If this was clear on the website I wouldn't have ordered from them and ordered from Edible Arrangements. I was looking forward to this surprise but this place can't even deliver when they say they will."
"I ordered 6 strawberries dipped with chocolate weeks ago but realized i needed it delivered on 7/29......not 7/23. I am paying 15.00 for delivery so it should not have been a big deal to call the delivery company and have them sent 6 days LATER!! And on a weekday, not holiday or weekend."
"Not only did my mom's Mother's Day gift (chocolate-covered strawberries) arrive a week and a half late, but she received it moldy, smashed, and at the very end of her driveway. I called customer service who hung up on me once and wouldn't give me a full refund. I am never shopping with this company again."

"The berries arrived super late, they were cracked, mushy and spoiled. This company called me back yesterday at 4:06am and this morning at 4:50am, to discuss my mom's ruined mother's day gift. Now I can't reach them. My suggestion is, make your own dipped berries or buy then at fred meyer. "

"I ordered chocolated covered strawberries to arrive on a Thursday, but delivery was delayed by fedex to Friday, through no fault of Shari's. The chocolates were melted due to the delay.
I emailed Shari's Friday evening, and by Sunday they responded with an apology, shipped a replacement order on Monday, which was delivered on time on Tuesday. The strawberries were in great shape and delicious. Shari's also gave a $20 voucher for a future order.
The replacement process was easy, all done online, and I was very impressed with the company's response. I will be a happy customer for life. Thank you Shari's!"
"Shari's Berries used to be the best! I don't know when they sold to the 1 800 flowers group, but it is not the same. They used to always send the biggest juiciest strawberries via fedex in a cold packed box. Now they rely on local florists. Last time, they didn't call, so they couldn't get in to deliver my daughter's berries. It wasn't until she called them that they brought them the next day. I thought, ok, everybody has a bad day. I'll give them another chance. This time, I placed two orders. I thought it was odd that I never received an email confirmation. A couple of days later, I called. They did have my order and the customer service rep said she would send an email confirm and gave me the order numbers. No email came. a few days after that, they sent me a text asking to call. They informed me that the Easter decorated ones weren't available in her area because they were coming from a local florist. I wasn't happy about that AND there were only a few items I could choose from. The 2nd order was fine and would be fedexed as usual. Ok. Friday comes and neither received their berries. I called the next day and that's when they informed me there were no berries available in either area and I would have to choose something else. I asked if they could get a fruit basket delivered. She said of yes, but we can't get it there until Wednesday. This took at least 40 minutes on the phone to figure all of this out. I finally said to refund my money. She did without a problem, but it Was an Easter gift and a birthday gift! What else could I have delivered same day on a Saturday? NOTHING! I will never buy from any of the many companies they own!"
