"City Furniture is the worst company going. I purchased over $20,000 in furniture for a new house. Within 3 months the kitchen table already was peeling, the master bedroom dresser drawer broke and the master bedroom chest knob fell off. City furniture would not honor its additonal cost ($2,000) extended warranty that they promised covered all problems imaginable. They wouldn't even come to look at the dresser drawer that I had requested service for on two separate occasions. I had to fix it myself with velchro. They also refused to come to look at the knob that fell off the bedroom chest. I had to fix that myself with pliers. The kitchen table top began to peel...strips of wood were coming off when wiping it clean, even when using a dry cloth. They came to look at the table top and claimed the problem was due to water damage. Then their 'expert' technician actually told me that we should NEVER get the kitchen table wet or this will happen. REALLY??? Never get a kitchen table wet, even when wiping it off to clean it? Of course we would wipe the table down after use. If we used a damp cloth to clean it we always followed up by drying it off. The table was polished with professional wood furniture almost daily. What kind of garbage do they sell at this store anyway?? And what store not only fails to stand by the products they charge thousands of dollars for, but also refuses to honor its so-called all inclusive warranty?? City Furniture, that's who. They should change their first name to another name that rhymes with City. That would fit their product and service more appropriately."
