extremely long shipping delays beyond the reported delay, and with no updates

"i like the container store overall - i think they have great products, but this review is about their customer service. i understand we are dealing with covid and that shipping delays are expected. as many other reviewers have mentioned here, the stated delay when i purchased my in-stock items was "5-10 days" and it has been THREE WEEKS since i placed my order and...NOTHING. i have contacted their useless customer service line 3 times. the first and third times i got generic answers about how it's not shipped yet (and with no other info), and the 2nd time they actually told me a lie that i was being shipped next week (long passed). if you are going to have delays just BE TRUTHFUL UP FRONT (why can't you just put this on your website or in your emails??) about it and/or SEND US UPDATES. it is this lying nonsense that makes me angry. i was ok with a 5-10 day delay when i clicked the "order" button and had i know it would have taken this long i would have ordered some of the items elsewhere. and i have ordered lots of other items during covid and i have received them all by now, even items that were backordered.
