"I ordered from this shop (in Canada) as opposed to an American shop or amazon, because I am in Canada & thought ordering domestically would be faster than ordering internationally. Well, after over TWO WEEKS of waiting for my parcel, what do you think I got? A delivery? Nope- an email stating my order had shipped! It seems to me if there's a delay (like one of your items is out of stock) most companies contact you right away to ask if you would prefer to wait, or to get the rest of the order without the out of stock item, and they will apologise. I've never before had anyone just mail something to me late without a word of explanation.
When I wrote to tell them I was offended their answer was a bit snarky saying something like "we are sad to hear YOU got upset" (blame on the customer) rather than something taking responsibility for the situation like "we regret inconveniencing you", plus their excuse was that they OFTEN take several weeks to mail orders! As if frequently, willingly doing something unprofessional is better than only doing it by mistake, once in a blue moon HA! The only good thing I can say is that they promptly refunded me when I demanded they do so, and they were able to do something with the post office to have the parcel rerouted back to them so I didn't have to mail it back myself."
