"So to start my comment off, I used to be an account manager for one of the biggest online moto parts retailers. I live in Oregon so you can figure out who I worked for and our philosophy was to make sure our customers were always taken care of and left with a smile. When I walked into my local cycle gear I was greeted by a very nice staff member who listened to what I was looking for and we both discovered what I wanted was not in stock so I looked around and found a helmet I liked I tried it on and discovered that was the one! But to my luck all they had was they floor model the very nice guy who helped me did not even hesitate to drop $100 off of the price and he made a nice sale. I bought bell race star full carbon. I will definitely shop there again. Amazing customer service unfortunately it is a trait that has been forgotten but these guys still got it. Keep it up cycle country!!!! "

I also purchased some cold weather gloves and they took the time to go over the different types and pros/cons of each. Very helpful."

"I've dealt with this store several times now because they are very knowledgeable about everything motorcycle accessory related and dont just know about the products but also ride and know how certain products will translate to real life situations. If theres a product they havent used themselves, they'll tell you out right that they havent used it and can only tell you what other riders have said about it, but even more important than that, they'll tell you about even the tiniest negative they've heard about the product so you'll have the most information to base your purchase on. However if you decide to buy a product they dont feel fits what you're needing, and you realize later on that they were right, they have no problem about taking the product back to exchange it for something that works better or just giving a return. I have NEVER had such friendly, knowledgeable and extra helpful customer service anywhere else in my life!!! (And I'm 40) the last time I went in there, I was helped by a gentleman named Brandon who works weekends, and he helped me find the right size and type cold weather gear after I had failed to do it properly myself. I was also having problems with traction on my R6 (its like it was on ice) and was thinking I needed a new tire, but as he's familiar with track riding, he was able to explain that it was a suspension issue, what to look for and how to fix it (and he was right) instead of taking the opportunity to sell me the most expensive tire they had. He also said that when I decide to buy tires for my bike, not to get the set I was looking at and had explained that he'd used those tires before and had better results with another (cheaper) set, and then said he'd find me a discount for them when it was time for me to get them. Seriously, what salesman does that!?! He doesnt even work there for the money. He has a VERY good paying full time job elsewhere and is just there on the weekends because he likes the company and being around other motorcycle riders. Although I dont have as much knowledge of the other employees there, I WILL say that in the several times I've been in there, I always end up spending more time bs-ing with them and gaining more knowledge than I do shopping, and they usually come out to give me tips, tricks and pointers on things I'm having issues with. (Like tying down my R6 and how to squeeze more power out of my 2018 klx250) they talk to riders all day long that have pretty much every kind of bike, so they hear all the good, bad and tricks to everything! Even if you dont need to buy anything, this is a great store to go hang out if you wanna talk to some REALLY cool guys who most likely have the answers to whatever riding issues you might have! "

"I bought new tires from cycle gear, and came to get them mounted. I called as they opened to see what the wait time is. They said they have no tires waiting, so I can drop them off and should get them back while I wait in store (the online website says this often happens) or if they do receive other tires before I get there, then they will at least have them by the end of the day. I showed up before 1PM and was told that there were now more tires ahead of me, and the only guy that is able to do tires is on break. I said I would keep the tires if they could not be done today, and mount them myself. The man insisted that he could complete the tires by the end of the day, and that he would have the man on break work on my tires as soon as he returns from break. I said great, left my tires, and came back in a few hours, well after I had expected a call back. When I got there, the man who told me that my tires would be worked on ignored me, until I got his attention. Then he said “your tires should be almost done, let me go look now” and went into the back room. When he returned, he walked right past me and didn’t say a word. I sat back down, and 5 min later the employee who is changing my tires in the back walks out and asks if I’m waiting on tires. I say yes, and he tells me they won’t be done today. That makes me upset, because I confirmed multiple times specifically that the tires would be completed by the end of the day, or else I would do the job myself. Due to the time of day, I no longer had time to mount the tires myself, and had no choice but to leave them there, where I was told that I could pick them up the next day. They also denied ever telling me that I would get my tires back that day. They were rude, distorted reality and what they told me, and talked down to me because I’m a young guy. The large tattooed man with a beard, should also try keeping his voice down, and not threatabiny squaring up to me in my face, and telling me about how long he has worked there. If this is representative of his composure, and he truly has worked there over a decade, then I’m sure you are familiar with the problem employee I am talking about. The man who worked on my tires was even less pleasant. The result, is that I left the store after veing physically intimidated by your staff and told I would not receive my tires that day, and later received a call that my tires were finished, and available for pick up. Too bad they didn’t let me know until the store was closing within a half hour, and I couldn’t make it there. They could have given me a heads up, and that would have allowed me to pick them up that day, but they didn’t call early enough so I had to wait till the next day. I was planning on having my bike, so I had to take an Uber the next day, and the car I used to borrow to get my tires back and forth was no longer available, so I had to convince and Uber driver to let me transport those in their car. If I had been simply told that the tires would be done at the time they would be done, all of that could have been avoided. The best part of the interaction was after a heated altercation, an employee asked if I was “all set” with the new winter gloves I was planning on buying when I was waiting in the store thinking my tires were almost finished. I let him know I would be buying them elsewhere, just like I will be buying everything else from now on "
