"My wife and I went in to buy a helmet. This was a replacement helmet because the medium she had before was just too small. When the one she wanted wasn't available in a large, the sales guy just kept handing her mediums, saying things like "It'll break in". We both told him several times that we're not new to this and she knows what size she needs. Even after putting a medium on her head and having her cheeks ridiculously squeeze out the front, he kept going back to mediums. We finally found a helmet (in large) in a style she liked and it was nice and bluetoothy, so there's that."

My brother reminded me it was the people, not the store that disappointed me with their actions. I, therefore, went into the Cycle Gear near my home in Beaverton and it turned out to be an excellent experience. They helped me to find the right helmet for me unlike the WA store that picked one out for me (which never fit despite their promises it would, thus myneed to buy another helmet). "I feel bad for not remembering the specific employee's name but he went over and beyond to help me and treat me like a normal person, wasn't pushy at all. He was a shorter stature guy, very into road racing at PIR, had lots of knowledge of road bikes. Explained to me how stands work, and all about riding jeans. It was a pleasure as I know nothing about road bikes and am just getting into it. He even had knowledge about local dirt bike riding areas, it was a pleasure to buy from you guys and also have a conversation with someone else that has a passion for riding! You guys had a great selection of different brands of jeans which was nice to be able to try different types and brands on and finding one I liked. What brought me there in the first place was you guys were a Kriega pack dealer, but ended up picking up a pair of jeans and a pitbull rear stand. Thanks again!"
"I had a valve stem break on my front tire. it was getting close to closing and I needed to get it repaired. I was hoping for replacing just the rubber valve stem when our technician suggested using a right angled metal valve stem to eliminate a potential safety problem. I decided to go with that option and he took the extra time to install it for me and have my tire aired up for installation in no time flat. Thanks Cycle Gear!"
