The glove selection was not as good and I couldn't return the gloves that were a bad fit for me so they gave me 10% discount on new gloves that I purchased; they threw in the same discount on the shoe purchase as well."
"I have shopped there for a number of years. I have found them to be very helpful and courteous. They have taken more time with me than most shops would. I was buying a helmet there a year or so ago and the sales person was extremely patient and presented me with numerous different helmets. I did purchase a helmet that day but only after shopping 3 or 4 different motorcycle shops in the area. All of the shops carried the brand I ended up buying however the customer service at the other shops was not comparable to Cycle Gear's service. "

"I came in, no hello or acknowledgement that a customer was there there were 4 guys working, I think two customers. I looked around the store for about 15 minutes but there was not much inventory the place looked cleared out there was mostly street clothing. I wanted to get heat out and a gift card so i made my way to where the heat out used to be and it was not there. I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out what the base layers in its place was for maybe I could get that instead. I was passed by all the employees nobody offered to help, I did not ask. I was a bit irritated so i stood in front of the counter waiting to buy a gift card. There were 2 guys behind the counter one walked away, the other finally acknowledged me and asked if I needed something, so i asked if I could buy a gift card. He grabbed a used gift card, rang me up and I was on my way. I guess if you are looking for absolutely no assistance this is your place. I am going to look on rocky mountian for some base layers I guess. They used to say hi right when you walked in and would offer help through my visit and everything would be over stocked. Something has changed. "
"I have been a long time Cycle Gear customer. After a hiatus of 4 years I have started riding again, and I need a new helmet. I drove almost 40 miles to the Modesto location, and could not get anyone to help me. The staff was rude and useless. I ended up trying several helmets on, and finding the correct size but not color. I hung around for about 15 minutes in all, then I gave up and left. In their parking lot from my car I ordered a Shoei Neotec II helmet from Amazon. I guess I'll be buying my gear from Amazon from now on."

"To be honest, I would have given 5 stars but the store seems to be in a constant state of restocking. It's cramped and there's boxes of stock laying around. Maybe they need a larger space; maybe they need to be better organized... I don't know. Aside from that, my experience here has always been positive. When I bought my first helmet (Shoei GT Air II), Randy was immensely helpful and knowledgable. He could have pushed a more expensive helmet, but he didn't. I've been back a couple times and while I wasn't specifically helped for what I was looking for, the staff were always courteous and helpful. Zero complaints. In general, I find that people's attitude towards you is a direct reflection of your attitude towards them. "

More than that, they were friendly. They took an interest in the type of riding I did and asked about my experience level - to tailor the equipment I might need."
"To whom this may concern. I have used Cycle Gear tire mounting service before at $25.00 per tire. I needed this service again. I entered Modesto location and was greed by a New Enthusiastic Sale Person willing to help me with my tires ( Not Purchase There.) Sale Person Said, " There will be a service charge to mounting your tires. " Modesto location had charge $25.00 per tire mounted. I said OK. Fair Mounting Price. After watching the Sale Person Fumbling Around to mount the tires on my wheels. The Magner came over to help Sale Person, Mount the tires on the wheels. And was informed that "the tire guy was out". By the Manger. After the tire were mount. Went to pay for tire mounting service, Mounting Labor Charge WAS $100.00 for both tires. I said " What the heck, for two tires" Sale person said "I told you, that there would be a service change." But he didn't say how much the fee would be, Until I had to pay for the service fee for both tires. I explain situation to the Manger. MANGER SIDED WITH SALE PERSON. SO I PAY THE OVER CHARGE. I THINK, I WAS TAKEN BY THIS STORE. LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR MOTORCYCLE NEED. NEVER BEEN BACK SINCE. So, why is someone using my name, Is some type of Fraud. PLEASE NOTIFY MAIN OFFICE AND CHECK THIS OUT. !!!!!"
