"On 08/12/2020 I purchase a "refurbished" Steelcase AMIA chair from their website www.seatingmind.com in leather, with leather headrest, for $497.99 delivered. I had been looking at chairs for several weeks. Their website is what sold me, but after placing my order, I searched for reviews of this company... I found, like most other people, an overwhelming number of complaints, and negative reviews. My heart sank, and I figured I had just been scammed, but I stayed hopeful, as I really needed this chair. I had been working from home for several months, and my back was killing me from sitting in a poor quality broken chair, and I had been looking forward to sitting in a quality chair for a long time. Their website CLEARLY stated in many places, that there is a delay in shipping and they typically ship in 10-14 business days. That 2-3 additional weeks was a concern, but i wasnt willing to give up, as I couldn't imagine any company could put so much effort into their website like theirs, and not deliver a product to those willing to wait? Yesterday I got a text from UPS that the rescheduled delivery from I & L Distributing was to be delivered today, but I was skeptical, because their website said not to believe the early shipping email you receive, there would be accurate shipping later. Well, this morning i received a text from UPS saying the package had been delivered, and within 10 minutes of opening the box, I was sitting in my newly assembled chair. I am elated they came through, This is one rugged chair, and the leather seat, backrest, and headrest look nearly new ! I am sooo glad I did not cancel my order like I was inclined to do after reading all the negative feedbacks they have received. I LOVE MY STEELCASE AMIA LEATHER CHAIR ORDERED FROM WWW.SEATINGMIND.COM, AND SHIPPED TO ME FROM I & L DISTRIBUTING !
I wish I could include a pic of this chair!"
"Never shipped item after they created a shipping label. No response to email nor any answer to phone calls. "
"I ordered a chair last week, which I believed to be new. Well, it wasn't new, but used. I have left a message with them every day this week, and still I have not received a return call from them. They advertise free return shipping, and a 30 day satisfaction guarantee with each purchase. I'm holding them to this, or going at it with legal action. The web needs to policed by us, and checks and balances maintained. "
"On March 7th I called this firm to ask about the availability of an item. I was told they had a few in stock, so I placed my order. I was beginning to become concerned on the 4th day when I had not yet received notification of shipping, but I felt a few more days would not be unreasonable. That afternoon it item arrived looking exactly as I had hoped it would. It would have been nice if they sent out notification of shipping, but nevertheless I'm quite pleased!"
"The worst! Everyone's rude on the phone, zero customer service. Sent the wrong tables, when I tried to get a replacement, the manager sent me this message: "I checked and all of the onse [sic] we got are the same. Let me know what u want us to do" (yes, he wrote "u" instead of "you", as if he were texting a pal).
They sold a table they didn't actually have. Unbelievable."
"DESIGNERSEATING.COM COMPANY IS A SCAM. Beware of these crooks, they use stock images and then send you very poor quality, cheap looking, Chinese furniture, that looks or feels nothing like as they advertised.

They also operate under the name:

Also, to read real reviews on this fraudulent company go here:

As you can see, many buyers went through the same nightmare as me. I am shocked that they have not sued by the Attorney General yet.
If you have been scammed by the crooks at designerseating.com, please write a letter to the NJ Attorney General office at the link below:

DO NOT LET THESE CROOKS KEEP GETTING AWAY!
I lost over $3500 with this company, I am stuck with garbage furniture that looks worse than something that I could have bought at Walmart for under $25.
To add insult to injury, they sent me a broken chair with missing screws and a table with non-matching base. The furniture also has a very foul, strong smelling chemical smell. It cannot be good if you have kids or pets.
Getting them to correct their mistake is whole another story in itself. I have tried calling them over 3 months to get them to correct the problems. Each time I got the same answer, “we will get back to you.” No one ever gets back to me.
This whole ordeal with Designerseating.com has been a nightmare.
There are many brick-mortar and online stores selling high-quality replicas, but I can assure you that designerseating.com is surely NOT one of them.
Overall a horrible experience.
DO NOT BUY FROM DESIGNERSEATING.COM or any of ther other fraudulent website that they operate from.

"***AVOID DESIGNER SEATING AT ALL COSTS**** I purchased a chair from Designerseating.com on January 14, 2011. First the chair did not look like the picture on their website. It was very poor quality and a different shape. I asked for a full-refund, but they refused. Moreover, it came with a broken arm that had to be replaced. VERY DISSAPOINTED but I thought it’d be better to just get a new arm.
After calling and emailing for several weeks, they sent me one defective/inadequate arm. After assurances they sent the correct arm, I proceeded to fix it only to discover that that too was an incorrect arm. However, once the arm is inserted into the chair, you cannot remove it, and you can't tell until it's inserted. Again, though, I was assured this was the correct arm. The arm was locked into the chair and couldn’t be removed.
At this point they refused to do anything. No refund, no exchange, no returns. They stopped replying to emails or phone calls. So I am stuck with a poor-quality $900 chair which is not as described in the pictures or their website and has a broken arm. We're going on 3 months without resolution. They have a very incompetent staff as well.
I learned my lesson. ***NEVER AGAIN FROM DESIGNERSEATING.COM***
