"I ordered a pair of manifold risers and received one riser and one empty box. I was a previous customer of BPI yet they curtly told me the box had been weighed and shipped. I suppose it didn't occur to them their shipping Dept could be at fault but I did not receive my part, I did not get a refund and the USPS did not find the item. Also PayPal did not reimburse me for this loss. Terrible experience and worst customer service on the planet by all companies involved. I think some of these reviews are phony, wish I could rate below 1 star."

"I have ordered several parts from their website in the past with no problem. They processed the order and shipped out very fast. My most recent order however was not the same. I ordered a part that I thought was in stock. After waiting about 4 days I called and inquired about the order. I was told it was shipping out tomorrow. I live 4 hours from this business. I waited another week before calling, only to get the run around. I was told that the first time I called they meant the part was shipping out to them tomorrow. They told me they were expecting the part that day, and I should get it tomorrow. That brings us to today, so I called again. I was told that they still don't have the part and to call back on Monday. I asked to cancelled my order. I am very patient, but I do not like to be lied to. In todays technology, I don't understand how anyone would not know where and when their product will arrive. I even get tracking info on packages coming to my house that I myself didn't order."
"I bought an oil cooler from this company and was told it was a direct replacement, when I received part it was not designed the same as original equipment and now after waiting for this company to ship part which took ten days what do they use pony express I had to order a new one from another supplier. I called to return cooler and was treated like my service tech was an idiot and they know what there doing. Beware of these guys there crooks and only interested in making money from restocking fee,s that's why they are 20 percent when good company's are only 10 percent."
"This company is a bunch of CROOKS! Be Warned! I purchased a water pump paid $150 for the part and $68 for shipping was charged a $10 fee for orders over $100 and a $10 fee for internet orders. The water pump was so cheaply made it had a small crack in the metal near the screw hole on the mount. We noticed it while installing and the screw wouldn’t tighten. I called customer service (Chris) to see how to exchange the part and was yelled at and spoken to like a child at first. They refused to exchange the part. They wanted me to order a new part pay for shipping again and pay to ship the broken part back. Then I was told that if they found the damage to be caused by us they would not refund my money for the part. When I said that was not going to work for me Chris started using profanity telling me if I didn’t buy the part from them they wouldn’t except the part back and it would be my loss. I told him I felt like he was blackmailing me so I asked repeatedly to speak with the owner and was told NO. I shipped the part back at my expense and received a call telling me they didn’t send the part damaged to me and that they could do nothing for me. So in the end I paid about $300 and all I have is a broken water pump. Worst Company Ever!!!!"
"Ordered my parts on Monday and got them on Thursday. Jim sent me a shopping cart by email with everything I needed in about 3 minutes. That guy knows his stuff! I gave him a breig description of what I needed and he instantly gave me a part number to look at on their website and it was just what I needed!"
"I called to speak to someone about purchasing either 2 new replacement transmissions or a used MS4A Volvo transmission. I was handed off to some wingnut that when asked by me " who am I speaking with "would not give me his name and just said "if you need a name call me Sam" in an extremely nasty you are bothering me voice.
My quick response, "I am sorry, I will do business elsewhere". Good luck with the attitude at this place.....
I am in the marine business and have never dealt with such a protective introduction.

"called to verify what I needed for freshwater cooled engine, told to order manifold kit and gaskets online, which I did. Risers that came with kit were not plumbed for freshwater cooling, I contacted them and they said they would contact manufacture to see what they could do. I called again in two days and the person I needed to talk with was at lunch. That was the last communication I received and I needed the boat, so I took my risers and had them modified at a cost of $110. 2 days after installing them new correct risers showed up which would have rated them a 5 in my book if I had expected them. The correct ones had no paper work, no return shipping and I had to contact them to find out what to do. Now I am out $60 as they said they would refund $50 (not the whole amount since they didn't authorize it). Needless to say, I won't be buying anything else from these guys (while trying to resolve this I found the correct parts cheaper, so ...)"
"I ordered a exhaust manifold kit that included manifolds and risers for my 4.3l v6 Mercruiser. I installed the parts yesterday and after the motor was running, water was leaking from both joints between the risers and manifolds. I torqued the bolts to 20 ft lbs ( the recommendations for the exhaust manifold bolts). The parts themselves did not come with any torque notes. I called today to let them know that I felt like these Gildan products that they are selling are cheap sub standard products. They all have " made in china" stamped on them. This guy basically said its Gildams problem and I need to send them the parts to check them and they will replace if defective. So I paid almost $600 for these parts. They weigh over 100 lbs combined and apparently its my problem. He claims he can count on one hand how many issues they have had over tens of thousands. I would HIGHLY recommend to spend your money else where. This company is selling crap products. I just spent $3500 on a remanufactured long block from Mercruiser and I don't need these sub standard parts hydro locking my new motor. These people are highly unprofessional and all I wanted was a refund and to put American made parts on my engine that will not be below standards. I had no idea I was ordering parts from China that apparently are not built to spec. Go somewhere else to buy your boat parts."

Sent me the right ones showed professionalism and honesty in their dealings. Went above and beyond.Sailing globally on big catamaran and glad to have contact to send parts to me at great prices.

"Bought a speedometer and they sent the wrong one. It was advertised as a 4 inch but was actually much smaller. The total O.D. was much less than 4 inches. I called and asked for a refund. The respondent asked if I read the purchase agreement (small print). He then said I needed all the paperwork including the original shipping box. I told him I placed the order on-line and I had the order #. He said it wasn't possible to get a refund. I told what he could do with his wrong part he sent me. I would never do business with these guys again. Be aware folks!!! Remember they sent the wrong part and wouldn't stand behind their error. I'm forced to sell it myself to reclaim my loss. "
