"Don't explain fees charged me $750 to have a reserve price with no clear explanation. Called Customer service what a joke they told me to pay or cancel my account. They ****!! Don''t trust them they will screw you."
"I sold on ebay for 4 years have not made a dissent profit and they only protect buyers not seller cant wait till this dam company gets audited!!"
"Sellers receive no support when we say No l As is that's what that means. All a buyer has to say is that it came damaged. How simple is that on getting your money back. Make a claim thru the post office. Horrible experience for a seller I would never refer your company to anyone. Thanks for my new seller experience."
"Ebay decided to begin chargin sales tax if you live in selected states......without the sellers asking for a tax to be collected. When I buy on ebay, I assume the seller has rolled the final cost minus shipping into their item and if they wanted sales tax, they would include that in the asking price.....for an auction. Because it's an auction,....not a sale.
Well, they charge you and they don't tell you and you dont find out until you see a charge on your paypal that they took additional funds from you. Be warned.
After 20 years as a customer, this is the last day I purchase something from ebay, sorry you greedy scum. There are plenty of other out of state websites for me to purchase goods from that aren't trying to pad their wallets."
"Essentially, I am looking to add some aesthetic to my room. I am a young man, who recently got a job. I was very excited to finally be able to afford some LED Lights, Posters, a flag, and a new rug. A friend suggested eBay. However, I am here to say I regret this decision. After spending an hour finding the posters that I think would look nice, the flag I wanted, the nice rug, and LED Lights. I went to buy these items. I typed in all my debit card information and the process went swell. To my surprise, my orders where all cancelled for some reason? How could this be, 8 different eBay vendors, 8 different items? I was given this message: "
Your payment didn't go through, so the order was canceled. Please pay for this item again.". I decided I would reorder the items, but first I wanted to play it safe and make sure my money wasn't taken from my bank account. Obviously since "Your payment method didn't go through... ... Please pay for this item again." I would assume it wouldn't charge my debit card. I assumed, perhaps I typed it in wrong. After signing into my bank, it came to my surprise that I had 106$ in pending transactions towards PayPal(Which handles eBays transactions)! So, I called my bank, who simply told me to call eBay. I called eBay and waited in customer service line. The women who answered the phone was very rushy, and asked me for my name. Which I provided. I asked her politely why my transactions didn't go through. She avoided my question and stated "We do not handle our transactions you most call PayPal customer service!". She was very rude and talked too fast for my understanding. I called PayPal, and the operating system asked me "My purpose for calling." I stated eBay and the robot stated I should call eBay because PayPal and eBay are seperate companies. I then asked the robot to speak to customer service. After waiting for a substantial amount of time I was on the phone with a human! He told me, that I will get my money in approximately five days time. I asked him why it failed and he said I should contact eBay customer service. So, for the second time I contacted customer service of eBay to try and get an answer for why my transaction didn't go through. The agent who answered stated something along these lines "I don't know... uhm... I don't know... call your bank!" and I said "I have called my bank and they told me I should call eBay". He stated "Well I'm telling you to call your bank!". It was overly aggressive and an inappropriate way to treat your customers. I than said, "I am just trying to know why all my purchases from eight different sellers and eight different items all failed and is still putting my money in pending." I was than put on hold. He told me "It was an error with eBay. I'm sorry." So, I spent approximately two hours being told to call the other customer service agency by the other customer service agency back to back. My situation wasn't resolved. I got no rational reasoning. I do not mean to sound entitled, but when you don't have access to 106$ in funds at age 17, and the only useful thing you get is that eBay made a "mistake" and it will take my five days to get my money back, it's a very disappointing experience and I think everyone would agree this is no way to treat your customers. Afterall, I am young maybe my opinion is not valid."
"Hello,im been a long time thinking of this decision and I would like to share it with others. Please don't shop from eBay is a waist of time and money, past 4 years trying to just and compromise the quality of business received from eBay either u get fake sellers and u wait for ever for u refund waisting so much time and hope, either bad quality of the itmes and again big disappointement and sometimes you get ur refund or u might not.
Honestly I will never use eBay as option anymore.
And plz eBay the world is going ahead and your going backwards.
Thank you,
Fatima"
"I listed my laptop on eBay and fraudster bought which I cancelled and relisted. The second time, another fraudster bought it. They all claim they couldn’t make payments and I should send them private message to their doggy emails so they can make payments. The annoying part is that there is basically no way to contact eBay customer service within the app to report those fraudsters. And if you search for contact or help, what you get is useless and poorly written articles.. it’s just ridiculous "
"I used EBay to sell an individual professional-grade clarinet. Little did I know that eBay charges fees and so does PayPal, the payment service eBay requires you to use. So not only did PayPal charge me $60 to process my payment, eBay also charged me $150 to sell the item on their site. I would not recommend eBay to anyone for an individual sale, and I will not use them again."
"EBAY is a total rip off, don't use them! They charge fees for everything. Paypal, listing, selling and more. Their customer service agents are in India and there is no good communication between them and an English speaking person. I sold a mobile phone for over $600 and by the time I finally got paid it was less than $300. "
"By far.
Buyer grossly misrepresented Item & shipping price. It took over a month for the item to arrive. eBay asked me to pay for the return shipping. Seller got defensive, then nasty, then threatened me. When the seller predictably pretended like he never received the item (despite my receipt of shipping) seller got defensive, then nasty, then threatened me. When seller predictably pretended like he never received the item (despite my receipt of shipping) And kept Over $65 of my money, eBay was okay with this, even complicit, because it is within their assinine policies. Their policies are consistently protective of their frequently disreputable sellers. This is not my 1st experience with their worst customer service on earth. It will be my last. Last time they removed my fair & honest review of their thief of a seller without my consent or good reason. eBay should be shut down. Save your time, money, & sanity: Do business elsewhere. "
"I purchased a motor through eBay for my Mini. The seller had listed the motor incorrectly and refused to provide a return ticket. To add insult to injury he was also very harassing via email. I sent him proof that the motor was incorrect and he still refused to provide shipping. eBay determined the motor was listed incorrectly and promised a full refund. I have yet to receive it and it's been a month. eBay tells me that I have to now fight with PayPal but I cannot submit a dispute through PayPal bc I did not purchase the item though PayPal. I cannot repair my vehicle bc I've not had a refund of my funds. I even offered to send the motor back when the refund was processed although eBay said I didn't have to and even though this seller was very belligerent. My advice is: Find someone else to purchase your parts through bc this company does not stand by their guarantees and warranties. I let him know the day we received it that it was incorrect. I'm still fighting to get someone to adhere to the policy and guarantee that I was provided upon purchase. It has been very difficult being without a car for so long and very a very difficult and extremely long process to get this corrected. It may not mean much to eBay and this seller but my car is the only transportation I have for myself and my son. My hope and prayer is that nothing emergent happens to either one of us or our pets while I'm waiting on this to be resolved bc we would be out of luck. I think it's a sad day when large companies do things like this to people - all people. For those of you that read this review, please pray for our family. Being without a vehicle bc of this company's refusal to uphold their policies is nerve racking and upsetting."
"The worst customer experience. Non existent, a waste of a lot of time. You can only speak with Customer Service in the Philippines. Each of the times that I've called, I get a different response.
The sellers are in China and after harassing me about giving them a high rating, they agreed to give me a full refund for the junk they sent instead of what I ordered. They did not want me to return the defective merchandise. Ebay has done nothing. They tell me to talk to the sellers, they've told me for a month that they money is coming to give it more time. Today, they said 30 days has passed so they can't help me. "
"I like ebay, they have almost everything you need. For me it's like aliexpress, but little better sellers and website overall."
"I love shopping with Ebay.... Very reasonable prices and they have EVERYTHING!! "
"Bad, bad experience. I go never tried to buy something in the website "
