"I have been an Ebay user for years, buying and selling. I had a high seller rating, and purchased form a lot of great seller. Ebay at some point had lost all my information and I had to start back from zero, Ok so I will just build it back. In 2015 redid my account, not so much to start selling, but to buy things. With that being said, since then I have had a spinal cord injury and became a quadriplegic and it has taken me awhile to get back to doing things. This past week I started selling again, because I'm on a very limited income. I made a couple of sales, but they would not release the funds because they didn't show any past history, because they had wiped out my prier account. Long story short, I need the funds to be able to pay shipping, and they won't release the fund to me so I can ship. Even though the lost all my older information about being an A+ seller. Ebay has had other issues, but im done, plenty of other platforms to use online to sell, that a definitely more enjoyable and less headaches."
"I have been using eBay for over 16 years.
I haven't sold anything for a while but I had some stuff I wasn't using so I put it on eBay.
They took £21.98 from my bank account for the listing, the item then sold for £560 plus £10
postage. I checked my payments on eBay they had taken a further £76 off, so I contacted eBay and spoke to a lovely lady polite and professional who told me that was right.
Have the heads of eBay lost their f@£&ing minds 15% charge to sell on eBay.

"My eBay account was closed with no recourse. The account was open for close to 20 years and suddenly one day in 2022 December, as I entered
Thailand, the account was flagged as fraudulent and shut down. The same account worked in the past when I was traveling thru the world. Every time I have tried to reopen it, it has been canceled. I have provided enough proof of ID and US Passport and still, it's canceled. I travel overseas and order from there and that's where the system has flagged it to be a scam and forgery. A very third-class company. I have also filed a complaint with BBB (#19394092 dated 2/13/23) which is also unresolved.
In Short: A useless company that has no care for the longevity of the relationship. They will dump you like a hot potato.
To Do: Before they dump you, find an alternative way of shopping (e.g. Amazon, Walmart Online Shopping, etc) and then dump them."
"Su Ebay sono in vendita milioni di articoli, ma alcuni purtroppo sono non conformi e anche difettosi. Il problema è che quando questa cosa viene segnalata a Ebay, anche ad esempio aprendo una contestazione formale, loro se ne lavano le mani! Nella mia esperienza, in data 18-2-2023 ho acquistato presso Ebay un rasoio Ciaobosi TX-8267, e nonostante sulla confezione siano decantati i “migliori materiali rinvenibili sul mercato” utilizzati per la produzione degli articoli “Ciaobosi - prdotti di qualità” (come no!), questo loro rasoio cinese è veramente pessimo, anche rispetto ad altri rasoi cinesi di fascia bassa. Lo stesso provoca rossore, prurito e irritazione, non riuscendo nemmeno a mettere a punto un buon taglio, dato che non riesce a radere a fondo. Il rasoio è pertanto di pessima qualità (di fatto inutilizzabile) e non è lo stesso pubblicizzato sulla confezione; inoltre sulla pagina del venditore (Pedralindashop) c'è scritto che è possibile il reso entro 30 giorni dall'acquisto, ma lo stesso mi è stato negato dal venditore (e tale decisione è stata anche accettata da Ebay). Infine, ennesima cosa grave, il rasoio non è conforme alla direttiva CE.
Come avevo scritto all'inizio, ho segnalato tutto a Ebay, che però non è intervenuta e non ha fatto proprio un bel niente, tant'è che il rasoio cinese difettoso è ancora in vendita su Ebay. Complimenti!"
"To start I made my ebay account wensday sold a glass bottle Thursday shipped item on that Friday. Saturday I get a message from ebay I got permanently banned from ebay. So I call because I followed all rules added tracking number everything. Talked to 6 people all which pretty much said they did not see anything wrong but could not tell me what I was banned for because it was against there policy and would endanger ebay community. Which makes no sense considering they said I had no claims against me was done by there higher ups ok but I did nothing wrong. At this point I got hung up on every time because I asked to speak to higher up people. The would say won't help then hang up. No money I made for shipping the item is on hold and items shipped and my account is locked no longer ever allowed to use ebay. This is the most worthless company I've had the pleasure of dealing with and they have the worst business practices and policy's. I'll go back to offer up and cl ebay can **** it and lost out on a ton of old collectibles I have to sell."
"Used to sell years ago and never had an issue. Sold an item for $1000 and first noticed they took almost 15% off the top of the sale. I never remember their fee being that high. next I listed through a new account I opened and now there is a 30 day hold to get my money? I called and explained I had a different account I sold alot of stuff on, all with positive reviews. I asked if they could link the two to cut down on money being held. Answer no. But, they told me not worry my money was safe. Except I can't get it. Plain ridiculous. You also can't do a flat fee for shipping over $25. I shipped the item I sold and had in description, I would find out the price and buyer would pay. Well, I tried to contact the buyer whom is not answering me. So, I am eating $55 for shipping as well. After all this hassle I will never used Ebay again."
"eBay used to protect sellers and buyers but now only protect themselves and the money they can make. I have had multiple issues with faulty buyers recently and eBay not helping at all. They most recent case where they allowed a return for an item the buyer said they just did not want anymore then made me not only eat the original ship cost but pay return shipping as well and did not reimburse fees made me leave the site all together. I recommend selling elsewhere as their are many places that actually care about their clients."
"Avoid buying expensive stuffs on eBay!!!!
I got scammed with a a laptop, it arrived block and I asked for a return and eBay provided me with the QR code and i suggested to get a insurance shipping label but the seller was highly aggressive and abusive and he denied my suggestion so I contacted eBay costumer service and they told me not to worry, if the item got lost they were going to refund me because I used their QR code and I sent back the item and the item got stuck in transit and then lost. I contacted eBay and this seller opened a case about the item and sent a letter from “usps” saying that I never dropped off the package, when I have a receipt and witnesses from usps that saw dropping off the item they refused to believe me, even when I sent screenshots from this scammer threatening my own life, he told me “he knows where I live” and they still closed the case in the scammer favor and they don’t want to refund my money, even though I already gave up the item and my money, i spoke with the usps inspector from my local area and he wrote me a letter saying that did dropped off the item and they still refused to pay my money which was a total amount of $1316.09 so i basically got scammed and eBay won’t help even if they know this “seller” is a scammer they are protecting him, and not helping their costumers. Never buying on eBay and I hope this experience help you to not commit my same errors, DONT TRUST EBAY"

"eBay does not protect the seller. I am sure you all have seen this before. Even if you say "no refunds", eBay will require you to give a refund. Their favorite line I have seen is that there is no telling how the item was shipped out. A Limited Edition item was opened by the buyer who claimed it was defective because of "severe" paint damage. The image sent didn't back the claim but eBay does not care. eBay's concern is that they don't want the buyer to go to their bank and claim they didn't do the transaction. It is better to have the seller bite the bullet than them. Does not matter that the item cannot be resold. Does not matter that the seller had the item for a while. What matters is that they don't want to lose funds. They say they protect the seller by having them offer the refund and then they can open a claim that the seller lied. Again, remember eBay said they don't know how the item was shipped. It won't end in your favor. Best thing to do is not sell things that are collectors on eBay or be very picky with who you sell to. eBay does not care if the seller has high ratings and the buyer has close to none. What matters to them is ensuring they keep money in their pockets. So do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Sell items on your own, like Facebook Market or anything but eBay. "
"Ebay is most unreliable company which is ignoring the buyers and have collusion with the sellers. I bought an a scale model from a member jsjscd9a in Feb 2022 and never received that one. In july 2022 the seller started to sell my item on ebay so he just stole my money and my item. I was having a long communication with ebay support team in which they promised 100 times that they will investigate the issue and take measures against the seller. After all they did nothing and just told that my case was closed. No further explanation were given and they do not respond to my messages. This is called segregation and discrimination against Russians."
"I have 2 complaints about Ebay Have phoned several times and got nowhere
1 a service advisor called Ariel was supposed to ring me about a problem with eBay not updating listings I had an offer of 80% off fees and I couldn’t list on Friday or Saturday This service advisor said he would make sure I didn’t lose out on the 80% off, but I’m still waiting for the call
2. I listed a Dior charm which eBay removed saying it was counterfeit which it wasn’t They didn’t contact me just high handedly removed the listing It has to be flagged to some team to investigate which will take 24-48 hours The 80% off fees ends tomorrow
Customer service is totally useless All you get is sorry

"Seller said package was "delivered". Well, not to ME it wasn't. Because I can't prove it, I am now out 200.00 and Ebay and the seller umpire332, will do nothing for me. I left a poor review for the seller because I think they should have insured the package, and ebay took it down within MINUTES. Do NOT buy through ebay, and if you do, make SURE the seller insures the package and YOU sign for it. Just terrible customer service!!!"
