"I recently sold an item on eBay. The buyer paid right away, I shipped it FedEx right away, the buyer received the item in 2 days. No issues. eBay is holding my payment for a minimum of 30 days. Ebay customer support is awful and they can't help you. They can barely speak English and are unbelievably hard to understand. Customer service has no power to help you. It has become so difficult to get help from eBay. You can't call them any longer. I have been a member with eBay for 18 years. It seems they are just there a virtual company with no humans involved, no common sense. eBay is also charging 12.55% on not only what you sell but on the sales tax and the shipping charges as well. Be aware that you are paying them a sellers fee on sales tax! If you continue to use eBay, you are at their mercy. Unfortunately, you won't know if they changed policy until it's too late. "

"Purchased off website a home telephone. Product arrived open box and a old broken phone replaced the new phone in box. Contacted Seller with absolutely no help from Ebay. Seller said this never happens but showed Seller pictures and agreed there was a mistake . He notified Ebay within hours also was nice enough to not require to sending the phone back saw the pictures and did not want phone back. Ebay does not listen to anybody do yourself stay away they are helpless. By phone forget it, by email stupid blow off replies to send phone back Seller does not want phone. My mothers account has 0 connection with my account except we are living in the same apartment.
We have different bank account, different email and we also created our accounts with different device.
Her account was created a few years ago and basically has 0 relation to my account. She's just my mother and we living together...
Its absolutely the most horrible website I visited in my life. The worst customer service and worst company I have seen. Very impressed how they treat their customers, they dont care about you at all. They are so big and you are just a nobody. You dont get any protect and help. Their customer service is just unhelpful, you only get reply by a bot and no one of their team wants to help you. They dont even give you the reason why you got banned. They just banned you so randomly without any notice or warning. AND they banned you for your whole life, you are unable to create a new account or selling / buying thing (which I'm not going to do anyway) on their platform without any information.
The only luck thing is that I didn't sell anything here yet. Its totally a waste of time to prepare setup a shop on eBay

Just today I created an eBay account and got immediately suspended after upload my first product made with Printful. What I have done --> 1. Create a prinful & eBay account --> 2. Connected my eBay account with my printful account --> 3. Upload my first product --> 4. Got suspended
Then I wrote an email to them and they just say "Your account was restricted because it exhibits a risk to eBay and to its community. We're not comfortable with your selling practices or business model, and we feel they don't help to promote a positive buying and selling environment. " Which I dont understand what I did at all and this is what they also wrote " We don't provide specific information on what behaviors we have found to be a risk to our site. " So I will never know what I have done... and I have written an email with my wohle morning, and they only used 10 minuted to reply me. It just makes me feel like they didn't read my email at all. They just send me an automatic reply without looking into the case. Really disappointed. Totally a waste of time. What I can say to you if you are planning to sell thing on eBay, just DON'T, STOP. Their customer support is just so horrible. You dont get any help at all if you need"
"Ebay admittedly suspended my auction due to a system failure but still was kind enough to charge me the full fees. I pointed out that there supposedly was a buyer with a name etc. that bought me item and their system referred to that person as a buyer. With no explanation they simply said the person didn't win the auction but would give me no other details.
Now I'm fighting trying to get a new bank account attached AFTER a second auction for the same item resulted in a sale. Supposedly 1-3 days to get micro-deposits to verify my bank account. Other companies use similar verification techniques but no one takes as long as Ebay. Now they are telling me to expect 5 business days even when I pointed out that their site says otherwise. I.e. they're lying/not being honest and I truly believe they are trying to get away with a float on other people's money. "
"I trusted Ebay for over 15 years. No longer. Multiple missteps and frankly illegal patterns of practice. Forcing me as seller to take return after date agreed, when buyer admitted that item was in described condition, he used it broke it then wanted a refund for item he destroyed. Ebay hid my seller pictures during dispute and did not give me full account access and sent me revised chat transcripts of my attempts to resolve issue. Ebay = bully = dishonest."
"I was a seller for over 10 years. One day they changed my password without telling me. I had no access to customer service. When I finally got them, they denied me access to my account and told me that the complaint resolution process would eventually refund all my buyers. I had to report them to the better business bureau to get access to my account and refund customers. After I did that, they labeled me a threat to the community and permanantly banned me. They still owe me significant money. It's genuinely sad to see what has happened in the last few years to a once decent company. Their fees and restrictions and ridiculous policies toward sellers are terrible. Their customer service is beyond incompetent. Their community is notoriously prone to scam artists. There are much better options for buying and selling and they are rapidly taking market share away from this dying company."
"For starters I’m a sort of new seller, so eBay will definitely not side with me when it comes to any issues. I havto wait for 3 days after item is delivered just for me to receive my money. Etc. Anyways, Shipped an item to a buyer recently (auction) for well under retail of item. I get a message from buyer a couple days after it says it was delivered. That there’s all these crazy damages, and it looks like someone dropped it, big hole in back, frame doesn’t hold screen in place. I ask kindly for more pictures of claims but buyer avoided any requests I had. He sent me 2 pictures of what he wanted me to see, it was hard to even tell if the item he took pictures of was even the one I sent because it was literally zoomed in pictures of a single spot. But anyways ebay then notified me buyer requested a refund. And because I’m a new seller ebay will guarantee buyer gets full refund even if I have proof the claims made are false. I take a video of me cleaning and packing every item I sell, even if it’s a local sale. Again I ask buyer to provide full detailed pictures of items so I can compare them to my pictures an video. He send 1 more picture which shows the item a little better, but in this picture he sent I’m 100% sure it has been disassembled. Which is not how I sent it. (Also have proof of that) Same thing, no luck, avoiding my requests saying I’m harassing him and that I havto accept return or he’ll escalate….and at this point ebay has no way for me to give my side of the story. So what options do I have? eBay is holding my money, and If I ignore the request they will automatically refund anyways and quote “possibly even not require buyer to return item” which is a complete scam. This platform is trash. I am very familiar with people who buy things off eBay, swap parts out for their parts, then send it back to seller asking for full refund. Leaving the seller with an item in worse condition or even non working condition then how it was sent. But ebay doesn’t care at all. Buyer was somehow able to leave a whole paragraph negative review on me, but eBay will only let me leave a 8 word review on him. Odd. Buyers username (qthebuckeye) even after leaving my negative review it doesn’t show up on his account. Just super sketchy to me. Will be done with using eBay forever. Terrible. "

I HAD EBAY ACCOUNT SINCE 2015 buying once a while and all the sudden they suspended my account when I contacted them told me because I had to many return. I Think that ebay has option to return and I barely shop ebay bc as a costumer service they are one of the worst. I had 2 or three items didn't even receive them and tracking showed in transit but time frame ended long time of course I would want my money back if there is no product. Maybe I had 4 or 5 item as not described and 2 not received in 6 years since I have account with them. And they still suspended my account. This year Ebay have:-
1. Allowed a buyer who got a 100% refund to, after the refund, post a review that said we are cheats constantly displayed. (untrained staff stuffing businesses around).
2. Ebay removed a number of our products (without discussion) that are not alcoholic, referring to their Alcoholic products policy, sending us a no-reply email so that we cant simply let them know they are wrong (untrained staff stuffing businesses around). We didnt even try to get that fixed after our past experience with their support staff. (We didnt have the time to ask for a listing refund and just let those products lapse).
3. EbAY Started penalizing all merchants who do not offer FREE delivery, forcing merchants to use sharp tactics to over-inflate the price of products to cover the cost of free freight. (highly unethical) and also impractical to implement..
4. Ebay Started running Google Shopping ads (using my ebay listed products) against my own Google shopping listings of the same products, with fake claims that WE offer "After Pay" (highly unethical).
Clearly Ebay dont have a reliable customer base and rely on Google ads to get traffic that everyone else can access without paying Ebay a fee (and having Ebay take their traffic and show buyers other products) at the same time??
5 Ebay have demanded that we sign up to use their "managed payments" system, where they act as a bank for our funds instead of Paypal. (like hell)
6. Apparently in Mid February, required us to click a link to "renew" our relationship with them (despite having many years of Ebay trading and so called "Top Rated Seller" status) which we did not see, and they did not follow up on that when we did not react.

7. As a result of our not clicking the above link they stopped downloading our orders from ebay customers, without telling us, or the customers. They kept our listing running so the customers could make orders with no hope of a dispatch. (Bad policies stuffing businesses and customers around).
8. Later when a customer raised a case with Ebay about their order, we discovered the requirement, corrected this link clicking and downloaded the orders and had to dispatch them by Courier instead of Austpost on 3rd Mar, at our expense, (so that buyers were less disadvantaged). Track and trace info from this dispatch is auto loaded from our website to Ebay. Additionaly We also responded to the case on 4th Mar with a link to the track and trace. So they had proof of delivery.
When that customer, that had received and signed for our courier dispatch (early on friday Morning 5th March), had not closed that claim, on the Sat morning 6th Mar (when we were closed) Ebay threatened by email that we had not resolved the matter instead of checking the track and trace. (untrained junior staff stuffing businesses around).
9. Thirty Three Minutes later in the wee hours of Saturday Morning (we are closed weekends) Ebay closed the case again instead of checking the track and trace info and Refunded the Buyer, who had received the goods the day before? (untrained junior staff stuffing businesses around).
10. Despite subsequent requests to review this issue and actually check that the customer had received the goods before they refunded them, Ebay refuse to reverse their decision.
11. In their latest response Ebay claim that they have no ability to check the track and trace link which shows the goods were delivered on the Friday morning. (untrained junior staff, that do not care, stuffing businesses around).
12 Its obvious that they WON'T check, not that they cant. They cant admit that their (Bloody minded untrained junior staff stuffed yet another businesses around). They bizarrely require our business to send them another form of proof, which we did to no avail.
This last instant is the straw that broke the Camels Back. Our company is out of pocket for the sale, simply because Ebay stuffed it up and cant or wont respond to review requests to rectify.
We get an in-significant level of sales from Ebay and there is no way their lack of integrity, bad system and bad attitude to merchants is worth all of the hassles.
As a result we removed all of our Ebay Store listings (100's) from Both Stores and stopped them from being auto uploaded from our website. I then emailed them advising that we wont be dealing with them again. I am not going to continue to beg for that payment any longer.
Then a month later they continue to charge us for the two stores which are empty. I contacted them by phone (you cant email the clowns) and asked them to cease charging as we had quit, but they charged us again. I had to go into Paypal and remove the auto payment approval for Ebay in order to stop that.
To date they have not refunded either the sale proceeds they robbed me of, or the overcharged store fees. They continually harass me for the debt of another months fees on each closed store and make all kinds of threats. (I would love them to sue me so I can present the truth about them in court.)
The Ebay system was designed for Kids to sell second hand goods from their bedrooms. Their system has never been fixed to allow it to work like a normal eCommerce website.
We only started selling on Ebay because our website host solicited us to add on their app that is supposed to do all of the work for us to overcome the crazy Ebay system.
Ebay's mentality is that all merchants are cheats, and they try to convince their buyers on the idea that Ebay will protect them from all of those online cheats, whereas normal customers in the real world know that all websites rely on good customer feedback and so have no problem with dealing with well established online businesses and even with brand new websites.
Ebay's Freight system is so bad that you can't have an accurate costing relative to the dimensions and weight and postcode like a normal eCommerce website.
And if you try to use that botched up freight system Ebay penalize you for not offering free freight.
Ebay try to control and bully merchants every which way, whereas the reality is that serious merchants don't need them and certainly haven't got time for all of the hassall of their bad system and bad staff attitude.
Their biggest probem is that their management have no integrity. We recommend that merchants dont bother with Ebay

Was given a coupon code for money off but it didn't work when I tried to use it. Called in and was told they would fix the problem and reissue. Never happened. Called again and was told a second time, we'll take care of it. Nothing happened. Called again and was told it would be reissued and it was; however, it once again didn't work. Called again. Was told how sorry they were that things haven't worked out and that they would see what they could do. Many weeks later and still no response.
I have therefore quit selling on Ebay, and only buy as last resort. There are too many other options available today (Facebook is great) to deal with these clowns. They are so big that they just don't care. Pretty sad! Can't wait till it catches up with them and they fail big time!"
