"I've had the extreme pleasure of having a monster system custom built by Mike/eCollegePC and contained therein was BFG's bad boy the GTX 295 H2OC 1792MB PCIe 2.0 Will after 9 months of gaming and work related who-ha the bugger (GTX 295) died so I tried to use my BFG lifetime warranty and BFG sent me their now famous Sorry out of business letter, so where do I go from here? contact Mike/eCollegePC. "Overall, I'd buy from them again: They are so much cheaper than anybody else, even if they do have some faults.

Pros:
Cheap for high end systems
Real brand components (either they say what it is, or it was XFX for the video card)

Cons: I've ordered 3 computers:
First one: late by 4 days, mobo not seated properly, they didn't contact me to tell me it would be late
2nd one: no problems
3rd one: 9 days late! They didn't contact me to tell me, when contacted, they claimed they were out of the HDD and needed to get a new shipment

Mediocre: Wiring was aceptable

Other notes: great to customize later (I put in a TV tuner, some more USB ports, another HDD I had laying around)"

Took off the casing to check for shipping damage and there was none. Fired it and so far couldn't be more pleased. I had a few minor questions that I sent to Mike and he got right back to me. "I've got nothing but good things to say about this company. I ordered my system, got my invoice, got a estimated shipping date very quickly. A tracking number came soon after that, and I got my system within 3 days.

I found out later that they actually UPGRADED my motherboard and powersupply for free, but I still feel that they should have told me beforehand that these modifications were taking place. I suspect that they had run of the specific powersupply and motherboard I had chosen.

They are extremely responsive and most questions are answered within an hour via email. I would highly recommend buying from eCollegePC because of the HUGE savings that you receive with the additional benefit of being able to fine-tune a PC to your liking. I am most definitely buying a PC from them in the future.

I only have one thing to say, and that is the box that they ship with. They shipped the PC in the case/tower's box, not a cardboard brown box. Anybody with half a brain could've realized a computer was in there. However, the innards of the box had styrofoam and was overall VERY well protected. Still, be sure you're home the day your PC comes, as FEDEX will PORCH the case in broad daylight regardless if you are home or not."

I ordered a high end desktop from ecollegepc after running my old one into the ground after 6 years. Figured I'd future proof my system so here's my review.

Right off the bat Mike was very, very patient and helpful. I'm guessing he runs the joint since every section he replied to, within an hour and on weekends super fast as well. If you're looking for a custom pc place, let me tell you I looked ever-y-where for the best price per part ratio. High end sellers like alienware and falcon northwest sell you the same parts for literally 1,000+ dollars. They overcharge for parts that are actually mid-grade and bank on their image.

Ecollegepc is very, very reasonably priced and they customize it how you want it. I was surprised that the wiring was all neatly cabled and bunched together which saves space and helps with the airflow. My pc was delayed a few days because the motherboard did not work well with the processor I chose (nforce 780i and a quad 9450). Mike offered me an upgrade from a single graphics card (9800GTX) to a 9800GX2 with no additional charge to compensate for the time delay. If you're an avid enthusiast for gaming, videos, and whatever else, that's one hell of a deal. That's a 300 dollar price difference right there.

The only negative that I noted was that FedEx is known for being inferior to UPS. Everything came fine (Ecollege packed it very well) but UPS managed to bend the metal part of my graphics card. No biggie, they are easy to install. It only took a few minutes.

I would recommend that they change their shipping to UPS though, my computer was delayed for three days because of them. On ecollege's part they did everything very well and in a professional manner. I highly recommend them to anyone buying any type of custom built PC for a great price. I spent a month of research looking into every part, price, and aspect of my build and couldn't be more happy with their work.

2nd purchase from jan 3 amd64 x2 3800 gaming series fast fedex shipping fast accurate email responses came with full documentation/manuals and extra cables etc excellent customization options i opted for the m2n-e mb at no extra charge the machine came well packed and ready to rock out of the box i installed OS and have had no problems whatsoever,very stable not one crash to date plays every game very well as it came i added 1gig of extra 667 ram runs everything flawless on medium high to high (game dependant)
