"Great price, fast shipping."
"A day and a half after placing my order I received a notice that eCost advertised the wrong price for the item so the order was cancelled to "minimize the inconvenience" to the customers. The next day I received a standard shipping notification but the order status was "cancelled". "
"I've enjoyed your offerings over the years, but this time I had too many problems with the placing of this order. I ordered a monitor. Simple....yes! Then a couple days later I get a call from your "receivables" contractor stating that they cannot ship to another address because my credit card is registered in Illinois and I'm in Arizona for several months. So they had to credit back my card and then I had to either give them my debit card or another credit card. I did so and was concerned that I may be dealing with some operative that was taking my information but to misuse it. They had to go to the manager to get authorization to send it to me in Arizona. So I lost more time. I finally received the monitor and then I'm short two of the cords in order to make it work. So then I had sent an email on Saturday (day of receipt of the monitor) and I didn't receive any call back or email with regard to my problem. So then I had to call eCost go through customer service, then go through tech. services and then back to customer service, hang up and then get a call back with approval to send the new cords via next day. Just imagine how much time this took me and all due to some misguidance or policy regarding having a different billing address and shipping address. One can appreciate the caution these days, but folks there has to be a better way for you. I've never had this problem occur with any other vendor on line. I've had problems where something was missing (only once), but not this situation in anyway. With the holidays coming up you should really look at this policy and find someway to turn it around. Think of how many people will send a gift to someone and can't do it straight away! I will admit that your people were very cordial on the phone working this out. It certainly isn't their fault.
