"I tried eCost for the first time with a small order - $2.12. Everything seemed to be OK and I got order confirmation. However, I am now informed that there were "limitations" on my order because my credit card was not issued in the USA and that I should pay the $2.12 by wire transfer! My bank has confirmed that $2.12 appears on my VISA account but eCost is still talking about wire transfer. I would like to continue doing business with eCost. They are offering a Lenovo desktop computer that I am interested in, but I will not place an order until I am sure of my credit card status with them. My card, which has a US billing address, has been accepted by US businesses for many years, e.g. buy.com, amazon, walmart etc, who ship to my US address. Why is eCost different? I would appreciate some feedback.
