I sent in my samsung galaxy note 3 on Wed January 28th 2015 to ecyclebest after being quoted $315 online. My phone was in almost mint condition-practically new(only had a couple small chips around metal framing) . They emailed me over a week later on Friday the 6th saying they would send me a check for $48. $48 for a phone I payed $500 for exactly a year ago and is in perfect working condition? In the terms and conditions, it said " You will have three (3) days to either accept or reject that new lower price. The three days begins upon inspection of your device and our emailing you notice of intended payment either pursuant to the original initial quote or such value as we determine in our sole discretion".
I received the email on Friday at 4:33pm. I called immediately and they were closed. I sent an email right after that and received an automated email that sated their hours were Mon-Friday 7am to 4pm and Saturday 7am to 3:30pm (PST) which is the same time zone I am in. I find it odd that they sent me the email after they were closed. So I called again on Saturday within the hours stated in the email, and the guy who answered told me the purchasing department did not open until Monday and they were the only ones who could help me. I called again first thing Monday and I was told the purchasing department was closed for lunch-it was 10:28am my time when I first called. Lunch at 10:30? I called again an hour later and was finally transferred to the purchasing department and at 10 minutes of waiting, an automated lady came on and said they were experiencing high volume calls and told me to call back, and then I was hung up on. I did this 3 times until I asked to speak to a manager in which I waited another 10 minutes. When she answered, I told her I wanted my phone back and was not happy with the quote. She told me it had already been processed and there was nothing she could do. She told me it was automatic over and over. I told her I have done everything I could to contact them and that it had not been 3 business days as stated in the terms in conditions because if they are closed on Saturdays that is not a business day legally, so Friday and Monday would of been 2 business days. She told me it had already been processed and automated, and there was nothing she could do for me. I feel that I was lied to and scammed. I was not aware that if I was not happy with the quote, I would never see my phone again. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer and can not believe this is a standing business. If you have ever had a problem with them (which I see many others have). I hope you report it to the better business bureau like I will be doing."

"This is a total scam. Quoted $114 for an iPhone 4s 32G and received $16!!! It is unbelievable the local District Attorney hasn't shut this scam down. I plan to report them, as many others have also, to the BBB where they already have an F rating. Next is to report them to news agencies and to the DA in Sparks, NV.

Contacted customer support with no answer and no return call. Don't be scammed like all the rest of us.

"If I could give this company a negative 5 I would. I sent this company a brand new HP Chromebook and they quoted me $155 and at the end of all the transactions they only want to pay me $25. When I called to get my device back the refused to send it back to me and stated that I needed to call them to reject their offer. "This place offered online 263 for an intact iphone 5s. I sent them an intact iphone 6s. they offered 41 dollars. When I called to complain, no one would talk to me. They will not return my phone calls. They have hung up on me multiple times when I ask to speak to someone in charge. "My story is exactly the same as everyone else's! I have wasted a whole day trying to stop them from sending me $13 for an iPhone 5C where they quoted me $140. The person who answers the phone after 5 minutes says you have to speak to purchasing and them switches you over. After 10 minutes it disconnects and says to call back later. I've done this 4 times now. I'm sure that I will not get though based on the other reports I have read here. I will be reporting this to the Texas Attorney Generals office and recommend everyone else who has been scammed do the same in their state. These crooks need to be put in jail!!!"

"Offered 77 for iPhone4s with damaged screen - received $9 for the item.

I contacted them over and over. They would hang up after transferring me to the "Purchasing Department".

Here's the fix.

Tell them you have been trying to contact them, and need to talk to a manger. Also explain if you get disconnected one more time that you will be contacting the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and forwarding this to the Nevada Attorney General Office.

They will connect you to a manager, he will explain why the offer is so low. (Problems with the product etc.) Tell him the same thing, that you will contact someone further.

After this, he will "bend the rules" and make you a counter offer. Then negotiate higher or as much as you can get.

I got 60% of my offer after contacting them. They still win but at least they aren't getting the items at a 10% offered value.

Don't use this company unless you have already sent your item.

"like everyone else that tried to give me $8 dollars for my Iphone 5. this comapny is a scam. I will be filing a suit against them. immediately when I got the email I emailed back saying I did not agree and wanted my phone back. I called the next day and was told they would compensate me for my troble. I still disputed and then I was intentionally told to have a good day and hing up on even though I was being cordial. All because I asked for a higher manager.
If you ask me it seems like its a small comapny with few employees getting over on people. the same person answered the phone everytime I called."

"This company is a bait and switch operation. Got the quote approximately of $200-$260 for my son's I phone 6 and never spoke to me or never got any other notification after sending it in their pre-paid box. The got $28 put in our paypal account without any notification. Total scam company. Tried to talk to a manager or someone who cared. Took many calls and wait times of 15 minutes to get through to a very impolite lady who tells me they emailed me and I agreed to this bogus price of $28. Told her I want the phone back and I will send lousy $28 back and she said it was already taken apart. The executives in this company should be thrown in jail and taken to court and sued for all they have ripped off I would assume hundreds of folks or maybe thousands. They need to be closed down for doing over state line rip offs of innocent people. Worst scam company out there.
