I ordered an $800 Denon amp on Jan 5, 2022. Order confirmation says 3-4 days to ship. Over a week later, with no shipping notice, I email the company asking when it would ship. They have no idea stating Denon hadn't verified their restock but they're expecting it in Jan at some point. So I asked if it would be a week, 21 weeks, a month? No response. Email again the next day inferring that if they can't offer an ETA in a reasonable amount of time, they can cancel the order. Ignored. Emailed again the next day making it completely clear that I want the order cancelled. Ignored. About 2 weeks later I get a shipping notification. Yupp. Completely ignored 2 requests to cancel the order and refund.
Inform EFLC that I'll be lodging a BBB complaint, which is the only point I actually get a response, but they claim they've done everything they were supposed to and shipped my amp promptly when it arrived. Of course the CSR completely danced around all the ignored emails.
Shipment arrives on the 31st of Jan, courier refuses to deliver to the door or refuse shipment. Hew leaves an $800 order in my lobby. As soon as I see the box it makes sense why. EFLC literally shipped the amp in it's light cardboard box. The type that's meant to be carried from a storefront to a car, not be shipped across country with couriers tossing boxes into containers and vehicles. 1st time I have ever seen this in my decades of shopping online. It's standard to put something this expensive into another more robust cardboard box to prevent damage like this. At any rate, there's a HUGE impact hole that is about 1/3 the side of the box. This doesn't bode well for an expensive piece of electronics. So I take 2 pictures from different angles, attach it to another email to EFLC, which of course is completely ignored.
To condense, predatory business practices. Stock not listed special order or out of stock, no banner inferring there is a supply chain issue with them, and no notification in the order confirmation of this being the reality."
