"I ordered these glasses on 2/6/05. They arrived on 3/5/05. Very high quality construction. Unfortunately they were not the lenses or frames I ordered. Not even similiar. I tried sending about 6 emails. No response. That was surprising since they responded to a couple of emails I sent before I made the purchase. I tried call the 888 number. It's disconnected. I have the BBB involved now. I don't have high hopes since they don't respond to most of the BBB inquiries either according to the BBB. It's a shame since the glasses are very nice. But it's a gamble with these people. If everything goes right then it's good. If something goes wrong, you lose. Their email works as long as you haven't paid them, but the moment you do don't expect anymore responses.

"I ordered a pair of glasses last Fall. They came in about a month but the frames were defective. Like other reviewers, I also had problems getting them to respond to my emails. Finally, I found a phone #, left a voice mail and got a call back. They replaced the glasses, no questions asked (within a couple of weeks!).
I ordered another pair over a month ago. Same story, no glasses, many emails, no response and no more phone # on the website. Even though the site claims a 24 hour response time, no one ever responds! "

"I ordered a pair of eyeglasses from eyeglassesworld.com. They sent the glasses with the wrong tint.
When I contacted them, they agreed that they had made a mistake and promised to send glasses with the correct tint. Once my credit card had been charged, I never heard from them again. They have ignored my phone messages, emails and letters.
eyeglassesworld.com charges $5.00 for tinting and $40 for lenses. That should give you an idea of the value they place on their customers and their reputation."
