"Moved into a condo last year and had the HVAC replaced. After nearly 9 months remembered hadn't replaced the filter. Started looking for them locally. Lowes didn't have them. Won't buy from any Home Depot (another story).
Searched online and found very few sources for my filter, 16x25x4½ MERV-11.
Best prices at Filters4Life but scary reviews. One even described how the reviewer tried calling multiple times to follow up on order and never spoke with anyone and never got call back.
Decided to try calling and see if I got through. First try a woman, Michelle, picked up. Explained wanted to order filters but was concerned by the horrible reviews and also wanted to know if they had stock so would ship immediately if I did order.
Michelle said she is owner and was very attentive. She explained that all the bad reviews she knew of were old (that was correct) and that she took ownership since those reviews were made.
She also said the filters were not in stock at the moment but were on the pick list for a restocking order that was being picked up that very day. They would be in stock later that day and could be shipped next day if order posted today.
A fine distinction between in stock and getting picked today. A distinction I think most would not make and would instead simply say, "we have them." It is however a degree of specificity I definitely appreciate.
I ordered the filters. They arrived shortly after. They were the wrong size! I checked my order. MY BAD. (I PDF online orders before and after I click submit to be certain nothing is changed.) Somehow I changed the size of the filter before placing my order.
Emailed Filters4Life asking if could return the filters? About returns the website only says, "Please contact customer service for more information on returning an item." Michelle replied. As long as they're in good shape, no problem. Will send you return shipping label.
Got label. Returned filters. Made new order for correct size filters. All is good.
AND, I would add, FREE shipping 3x and 10% order discount each time. For each order I bought enough filters that after the 10% good customer discount the order total was still over the free shipping minimum. So the shipping for each order was free because of the order total and the return shipping was free because that's how Michelle handled it.
So, very pleased with the service. If you're deciding whether to order from Filters4Life look at the newer reviews and/or give them a call!
Would be 5 star but the filters were returned, tracking shows they were received last week, and the first purchase has not been credited back to my account yet."
"They don't have a clue, shipped the wrong item twice clearly they don't understand what they they are selling. I ordered a HVAC UV light system from them, they first sent just the replacement bulbs they acknowledged that it was incorrect and that they would resolve. I was told that the issue was resolved and a new shipment was sent out. I received the new shipment today 4/19/2019 again it was wrong and only had one replacement bulb not the two bulb complete UV HVAC system. Filters 4 Life also operates LongSupply in Aurora IL, you might also want to avoid doing business with that company as well. "
"DO NOT USE FILTERS4LIFE.com, also doing business as allkindsoffilters.com. This company is the worst company I have ever bought anything from. Three months ago I purchased two filters only to not have received them, to be lied to about back order, to be lied to TWICE about my refund processing in 3-5 days (it took them 3-5 nanoseconds to bill my credit card), and to hear over and over that "I've let my manager know" from some dimwit named Omar. The phone number does not work for filters4life.com and you only get a recording at allkindsoffilters.com. The filters4life mailbox goes to a full mailbox (of course its full because of so many complaints), they never answer the allkindsoffilters.com phone and they refuse to give me my refund. In reading the below complaints, its obvious I am not the only one getting the shaft. I will be contacting the Illinios Attorney General's office, the Better Business Bureau, the town this company is working out of and anyone else to let them know that this company has corrupt and dishonest business practices and now, because they have not sent my filters or refunded my money, are guilty of theft. "I wish I had check reviews on this company. The worst customer service experience ever. 1st time I ordered back on 05/15/15 order #555390 they promise 2 weeks delivery, NOT so. 25 days later no call to customer to explain delay but offered a refund. I told the young man to cancel and refund my credit card I yet have to check again for refund as no luck. Again I re-order on 8/03/15 today is 9/02/15 and I have over 7 calls to company to check on order, no one picks up calls, an answering machine comes on, left them several messages with no return calls. All calls to them are logged on my cell and I am at filing complaint with their state BBB. #FILTERS4LIFE# not a good company very poor at NO customer service today 9/02/15 as I'm writing this review Omar called at 10:11am to tell me, " they had been closed the last 2 days," my replay, " you mean you close during normal business days ? "Ordered filters for the furnace the middle of May. Credit card was charged immediately and order showed processing. After a couple of weeks, I sent an Email to find out when the order would be shipped. Was told the filters were on back order and if I wanted to wait a week or so they should have the filters. Then end of June and still no filters. Asked to cancel to the order and a full refund. Two weeks later, still do not have the refund. Same story. A manager has to approve the order and it will take 2 to 3 business days. Ten business days later no refund. Customer service rep says he will let the owner of the company know. Still waiting for the refund. In the meantime, I contacted my credit company and disputed the charge. filters4life.com. The credit card was only to be charged when the order shipped. Will let the credit card company deal with this merchant. I purchased from this company previously and had no problems, but I will not order from them in the future."
"I placed an order on 5/14/15 for 2 furnace filters. I received a confirmation email and my credit card was billed the same day with no mention of being the item being backordered. This is despite their published policy that they only bill credit cards within 24 hours of shipping. On 5/22 I requested a status and was told they could not obtain the filters from their supplier and I could wait as they look for a new supplier or get a refund. I requested the refund and they confirmed the refund should be done by 5/25. On 6/1 I requested the status of the refund and was told it would be re-sent to a manager that day. On 6/3 I emailed again for an update with no response."
"Ordered six filters from them on 9/26/14. Received an email from them on 10/17/14 stating that their supplier was still back ordered after several shipments. I had them cancel the order and refund my money.
I stupidly decided to re-order the filters on 1/5/15. Received an email from them on 1/7/15 stating that the filters were back ordered. I asked for a refund on 1/16/15. Received an email on 1/19/15 that the order was cancelled and refunded, but I had not yet received the refund. Apparently due to the "wrong button being clicked on", I was not issued the refund until 2/2/15.
Do not order from this company. Their customer service is terrible and they don't even stock many of the items they sell."
"I won't order from them again. After two weeks, the items ordered/paid for on 3/18 were still not shipped; & I contacted the Seller again re: status (this time via email as a machine answered their phone!), only to be told the largest item ($95 filter) was still on "back order." (I called the previous week after logging into their website & seeing "Processing" next to my order. The Rep. said then that the item "should be in" by the end of the week, which didn't happen.) Incidentally, the item was shown as "in stock" at the time order was placed. Otherwise, I wouldn't have ordered same! Also, at no time did the Co. initiate any communication with me re: the order's status. I had to initiate all contacts. In my email, I requested cancellation of the entire order & a full refund if item was still not in/ready to ship that day. The reply email at the end of the day confirmed same & Rep. said the Manager would be notified of my requests. However, to be on the safe side, a Dispute has also been filed with PayPal, which is how the bill was paid in mid-March. (Don't quite trust this Company's follow-up on the matter.) (BTW--I did NOT find their website particularly user-friendly & actually experienced data entry problems while trying to enter a Shipping/Delivery Address which was different from the Billing Address. Their system kept defaulting the 'Billing' address into the 'Shipping' address area; and I had to call Cust. Svc. to correct the error. Before you ask, I shop online frequently at a variety of websites &, usually find the experience quite problem-free! I wouldn't recommend shopping at "Filters4Life.com." "

"I got a 5% promotion by email, went to the site and found it pretty easy to navigate, plus the prices were very competitive. So I then placed an order for two furnace filters and later the same day got a confirmation that the order had shipped. The filters arrived a few days later; they were a perfect fit and same quality as the original."
