Pies

"Order was for 6 mini pies. 4 were great and two somehow managed to end up stuck together. Very happy with the promptness of a response from the company, but not at all happy with the tone of the customer service representative. They offered a $15 credit, but I would have to pay for shipping again......For what the pies cost, they should have been packaged appropriately. "

Pizza, Pizza!

"The pizza was delicious, packed very well, and each pizza was packaged well in sealed heavy plastic. My so-so review is about customer service - or lack thereof. The pizza was to arrive 1-6 according to the confirmation of my order. When I checked Fedex tracking, however, the date was 1-7. Guess it was time to think of something else for dinner! On Sat. I received a call from Fedex that deliveries were being delayed until after the weekend due to weather. I emailed foodydirect to determine what I should do...refuse the package, open it and inspect it? I received an automated notice that my email had been received. However, no one responded to my question. On 1-9 Fedex was only delivering to main roads, so my son met the driver, opened the box, and determined that the food had stayed cold. Kudos to Bartolini's, not foodydirect. I think a customer is always due a response. This ended well, but for a $100 pizza sale, I expect better customer service. If there had been a problem, I wonder if it would have been handled or ignored."

Poor customer service

"Sent cannolis for a clients birthday. Arrived 3 days after delivery date and were inedible because of the life of the dry ice. Was informed by email at 815 that night the delivery wasn't going to happen on the birthday. Offered refund or would reship a new order. Hard to ask for a refund as I had to reach out to reach out to my client and explain to her not to eat the spoiled ones and new ones were going to be delivered 5 days after her birthday. Called customer service and was told that UPS had caused the problem and would look into some further compensation. Never heard back and called again this time was again told that they were sorry but again offered nothing as they felt that they had done their part in replacing the order. What good is a birthday treat 5 days late. Almost made me feel like it was my fault. The only fault here is their service and lack of customer service. I will never use them again and told them as much. Don't think they really care!"

Broken packages mean spoiled food

"I ordered some barbecue for delivery to my brother in Virginia for (early) Christmas. Here is his description of what he saw when he opened the package:
""1. 4 of the 5 BBQ containers have cracks/holes in the plastic container; [my wife] put them in ziploc bags but may need to check them before heating for broken plastic pieces
2. The BBQ sauce is wrapped in bubble wrap and appears intact, but there is also sauce on the wrap which may mean a leak."

This modest order cost me over $100. They should have been able to do much better.

Yummy yummy

"I received my package today of 50 Buffalo wings and I'm MORE than satisfied. Everything was cold and very fresh. They also included vegetables and ranch and it was very good. My family cannot wait to order from there. "

"very POOR service. I ordered a ham for delivery the day before Thanksgiving. When it dint arrive, I contacted them for a refund. They said they would process a refund and send a confirmation of the refund receipt. I have since emailed them twice about the refund. No one has responded to my emails and I do NOT have a refund."

"Foodydirect is not a good service. Ordered pies for my father's birthday and paid 10. for shipping in order to get it to him on time.
The delivery took place after 8:00 pm ... and they call that a proper time to deliver .... my father is 80, he was in bed by 8:00 and thought we just had no sweets to celebrate with.
I complained to them and they did nothing, stating 8:00 at night was a respectable time to deliver.
I asked them to pick it up, did not want and to credit my account ... never heard back from them. Poor business practice
Would never use them again.
