"Ordered a laptop in August, and the product got delivered in three weeks. Although the shipment was from China and got delivered in Europe, I didn't have to pay any import duty. The produce arrived as described, well packed and secured.

The laptop I ordered is a relatively cheap one, however, I am yet to have any complaints. It's light and small, just right for day to day use.

"I started trying to cancel my order minutes after placing it when I realized it was a Chinese company. They kept telling me I had no order. After receiving it, I was refused a return. I never received an order numbear."

"I ordered 2 weeks ago. listed as shipping in 1-4 days. On with chat support now with Gadwige. They say it's going to be another 7-14 days before it ships (not arrives, ships). That the product is not on stock and is on backorder. The website still shows it as shipping within 1-4 days and I can pay an extra $3 for it to expedite shipping and guarantee shipping tomorrow. I have asked to cancel the order. I have spent over an hour on chat with Gadwige and they have refused to send any confirmation that the order has been cancelled or refunded. This feels like the grey market brooklyn tactics where they take the order, then refuse to ship it until you buy something extra.

Edit- When I was told the item was back in stock and would ship immediately I ordered it again. 2-3 days later it showed as shipped. A week after that their tracking info still hadn't updated with DHL. I contacted them to cancel it. I was told I could not cancel it because it had already shipped. Fast forward a week after that, they provided a new shipping number and said it was shipping today. A week ago I was told I could not cancel the order because it had already shipped, and a week later I was told it shipped. These guys are scumbags and crooks. I'm sure they complete orders as they should sometimes, but if there's an issue they are dishonest and thieves. Recent reviews are substantially lower. Clearly they've been bought out or are under shady management now. "

"I ordered a light fixture from Gearbest that showed in stock. After receiving no communications beyond the order confirmation for over a week, I decided to check on the status. Here is a log of my actions and results:

- Clicked "order status" link in my original email. Got an "order does not exist" message. Contacted support.
- Support was able to look up the order in their system and told me it would ship in two weeks.
- I asked for a method to track my order's status without needing to contact support. I was told I would need to have my Gearbest account deleted and re-created so they could attach the order to it. Strange, but I'll play along.
- Rather than fixing this on the spot, I'm told that a request has been opened to delete my account and that I'll get an e-mail in 24 hours letting me know when it's done so that I can create a new account.
- I receive an e-mail with a ticket number and the subject clearly marked "Request to delete account to link order".
- I receive a follow-up from support that my order has been cancelled and I've been refunded.
- The price of my original item has increased by $50. It's still showing as in stock.
- I write a message explaining the mistake, noting the recent price increase, and asking that my order be re-instated at the original price.
- I receive a reply that my order cannot be re-instated. I am no longer interested in doing business with Gearbest.

This was a disappointing and time consuming experience. I would recommend avoiding Gearbest.
