An insurance that promises to work anywhere should know that multiple administrations abroad will have different standards in reporting expenses. But this is a very convenient excuse not to pay my refund. So, another insurance that only walks with your money. Will never use again."

"Don't buy GEO Blue Travel Insurance even though its likely one of the cheaper options. Turns out you get what you pay for. My wife and I were in France and we had to visit a hospital (mind you she was ~30 weeks pregnant). First, it was impossible to contact GeoBlue without turning on the very expensive phone travel plan. So get with times and offer a chat or WhatsApp function. There was an "emergency" contact email they have on their webpage, but we got a response.....2-3 WEEKS later. Hope you don't have a real emergency. Second, we looked up the hospital on their app which was annoying to use and when we arrived the staff had no idea what travel insurance we had and had never heard of it. They had no idea what to do at first. Also, took an hour or two to find someone who could communicate/translate for English in a medical facility...in France...a westernized country? Thought that was odd. Maybe find better medical facility GeoBlue. Not necessarily Geo Blues fault but the cherry on top was my wife was shamed the entire time we were there. Awful experience from start to finish. Don't buy this insurance, get something else."

"I had an urgent surgery overseas due to bleeding which my US Medical Insurance provider would not cover because they said it was not part of "urgent" care or an emergency. Unfortunately, the country in asia, does not code an in hospital procedure as "urgent", Its just coded as emergency (emergency room) or not emergency. I was not in the emergency room for the bleeding but was advised urgent surgery to stop it. There is no coding for "urgent care" and I am unable to change hospital protocol for my benefit. So I was glad that I had my travel insurance which I bought the platinum tier before I left for my 4 month trip. It was worth it since they reimbursed me for my surgery, medication and doctor's fees. Definitely helped with my stress overall and recovery during my health crisis. I would recommend this insurance to anybody traveling."
