"Bought a reel of PLA, about half way through the reel it started to snag up and snap. It is obviously very poorly wound. Avoid.
Customer service suggested unwinding and rewinding! All 300m!"
"Very Dissatisfied
I had just set up a computer for my grandmother and was showing her how to use it. As it turned out, her printer needed another cartridge. I told her "no problem, just order one over the internet". She was real nervous about using her credit card online, but I told her that this company (inkout.com, aka inkout.net, aka 1st-inkjet, aka several other names) was on the Yahoo shopping site, so it must be legit. Now I feel bad about getting her scammed in her first experience with ordering from the internet.
Her credit card was promptly charged, and the statement says:
22JAN 2CI*2CHECKOUT.COM 2CHECKOUT.COM OH $23.90
I have tried contacting this company through their online contact form (they won't let you e-mail them directly), and have received no replies. They don't disclose a physical address or phone number either. I did a search on the web concerning them, and found the "unsatisfactory" rating from the Better Business Bureau . I recently tried finding info on them on the Yahoo shopping site, but couldn't find them. I also recently tried going directly to their site and it seems to have disappeared.
I wish I had researched this company before I talked my grandmother into trusting them. It's been three months now, and they seem to have cut and run. Does anyone know if these people are still operating a business (under whatever alias), or have they fled to avoid prosecution?"
"I placed an order not having read the nightmarish ratings from theses 2 buyers. That being the case I consider myself extremely fortunate as I placed my order Thursday 11:30PM, received an e-mail on Saturday with shipping info and received the products Monday. Everything seemed in order and is working fine. My experience was very pleasant."
"goink, inkout, inkseek - BEWARE - DO NOT ORDER THROUGH THESE COMPANIES!
I ordered two new Lexmark cartridges. My Visa was billed, an email sent saying the order was shipped and NOTHING. In January, I received a remanufactured black and white cartridge and a notation saying B/O for the color cartridge. I tried emailing, calling - nothing! The Better Business Bureau of Phoenix has these turkeys listed in their top five complaint list. Now they are lying to my credit card company saying we signed for the shipment - yeah we did, but the half that came was wrong (and blew up in my printer, and we are still waiting for the other half. AVOID AVOID AVOID - what a bunch of criminals."
"BEWARE, these folks are running a scam! I do not believe they are any kind of a legitimate business. It all started when I tried to order ink carts from them through Yahoo Shopping. I thought they were legitimate since they were on Yahoo Shopping, boy was I wrong. I placed an order through Yahoo Shopping & without my knowledge Goink immediately billed my credit card. I was waiting for an e-mail confirmation on my order, as most legitimate net businesses do, but never received one. After a week went by I started trying to find where my ink carts were. Goink never had the carts in the first place & never bothered to tell me. After several days they e-mailed me saying I would have them in one week. Another week went by & no ink carts. I tried calling a phone number listed on their web site for customer service. Nobody ever answers. A recorded message says that messages are full & there is no way to leave a message. You can call the number any time day or night & you will get the same thing. I really don't think they have a phone or anyone working in customer service. Or it could possibly be that there are hundreds of people like myself calling daily to complain. I e-mailed again & finally received the same reply that I would have them in one week. I immediately e-mailed back for them to cancel my order. I tried to call to confirm that my order was canceled, but yes you guessed it, the same old recorded message. I never got any confirmation from them that my order was canceled. After that, they never returned my e-mails.
I never received any merchandise from Goink. However, a couple of weeks went by & my credit card statement showed a charge from Goink. I e-mailed them to remind them to remove the charge from my card. Yep you guessed it, the next month the charge was still there on my credit card statement. I even contacted Yahoo Shopping to complain & asked for help in getting Goink to remove the charges from my credit card. Yahoo did return my e-mails but they were pretty much worthless. I finally filed a Chargeback Request with my credit card company & got the charges removed.
This doesn't end the story. My e-mail started getting spammed from Goink. Then I started getting spammed from other ink cartridge companies. I believe they sold my e-mail address. A few weeks later, I got an e-mail from someone saying he used to work for Goink & he said they were a scam, & that Goink stole thousands of dollars from him personally. He said that he was opening a new company & that I should buy ink carts from him. I don't know how he got my e-mail address, but now he is spamming my e-mail. All of this would be hilarious if it were not so pathetic!
I continue to get spammed by both of these companies. I spent hours with Goink, Yahoo, & my credit card company trying to get this mess straightened out. PLEASE stay away from these crooks!"
