"Erika took my order over the phone for the new Springfield XD-M Elite with the 3.8" barrel. The transaction went smoothly and within a week the gun was at my FFL. But when I went to the FFL to do my paperwork, I found that the top of the gun had scuff marks that appeared to be from aluminum. Instead of just sending the gun back to Gunbuyer and being without the gun for possibly 3-4 weeks, I decided to have my FFL, who is also a gunsmith, remove the scuffing with Aluma-Black. He did so and the gun looks just fine.

I called Gunbuyer and spoke with Erika again. I then followed that up with an email to Gunbuyer and mentioned my conversation with Erika, and send a picture of the scuffing. The next day I received an email stating I have a $20 credit for my next purchase. I don't know if there is someone at Gunbuyer who looks over all new guns coming into their facility. If not, it might be a good idea, just to make sure everything is okay with each one. But ultimately it wasn't Gunbuyer's problem, it was Springfield's for allowing a gun to go out like that. I'm just grateful that Gunbuyer was willing to reimburse me for the work my FFL did to make the gun 100%.
