"I recently found out that he had always dreamed of having a cowboy style SAA 45 Long Colt revolver... Not the 44mag that I bought him with my earned money at 15yrs old. He didn't want to hurt my feelings. His 81 birthday was 11/19. I find this out less than a week before his birthday, but thought I could drive an hour to the city & surely get what I wanted. Well after 3 days of trying I jumped online. I've bought several sales guns from Gunbuyer.com, but never needed to talk to anyone & was never in a rush (outside of excitement) so my guns have always been at my FFL before I could get there.

This time was different. I found a special edition Ruger Vaquero and a Henry BIG Boy Lever action both in 45 Long Colt. Both were in stock & at great prices, but it's Friday afternoon & the guns weren't at their primary warehouse for our area & prices were higher with no way for free shipping to get across country for Daddy's Birthday on Tuesday. For the first time I picked up the phone and who answered but Erica. She doesn't know me. I had placed the order online and left a note explaining my situation. As I introduce myself & give her my order number she states that she was already working on it. She requested the gun I really needed... The Ruger Vaquero as the Henry was for Christmas. She tells me it should be to her by Monday & says she'll keep up with it & she'll call me Monday. I told her it didn't matter the cost if she got it & could overnight it 2 states away. Because of 3 strokes, each Birthday is SPECIAL, but I want to make this EXTREMELY SPECIAL so in case of a problem I asked about a S&W MP 380 EZ & she's got it there. Just in case I go ahead & placed another order for it. Yes the shipping is free, but that's supposed to be economy shipping. She says it'll be shipped 2 day so its guaranteed & no additional cost. I've done what I can do, but I'm a flawed son... Not a Superhero, but I'm about to find out I've got one looking out for me & my Dad. Next I got a call on Saturday & it's Erica who came in on her day off to check on it & it appeared to be on track to get to her on Monday. Monday morning I get a call & who is it, but Erica and my Ruger is in. Knowing the 380 will definitely be on time she double checks that I want to pay to overnight it? Absolutely no matter the cost and I hold my breath as she crunches some numbers. "It's going to be $??"... I couldn't hear her clearly, but I assumed she had said $50. "What was that Erica? My phone cut out. Did you say $50?" I would gladly have paid for Daddy's Birthday! " No sir. It's $15. Is that ok?" I could kiss her. So I pay it & she emails me the tracking number. Both guns were delivered to my FFL in less than 24hours! My Superhero Erica made it happen. I had bought him a Western belt/holster leather tie down right. When I loaded the belt with 45LC cartridges & the gun fit perfectly... Unlike the 44mag I originally bought it for. I couldn't wait. I let him open an empty box & acted frustrated that I couldn't find where I laid it, meanwhile I strapped on the rig & walked out like it was one of the Western movies he's always got on & look up to see my tough old man crying & smiling. His real childhood dream had just come true, but without Gunbuyer hiring a Superhero named Erica... It wouldn't have happened! Gunbuyer already had me as a customer, but now I'll never buy another gun from anyplace else & Erica will always have a RAVING FAN. in me!!!"
