"Having decided to thin my collection, my only dilemma was how. When I used my Gun Club, I always felt "ripped off." Also with several of the Gun Stores in the area. GunBuyer.com advertised that they also bought guns. I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I took my Pistol and all the accessories down to my Club and had them make me an offer. That took almost two weeks to complete. I went to the page with the directions on how to sell my gun on Gunbuyer.com. I put in all the information about my gun as requested. I was also given an opportunity to write a brief statement about my gun. I put it down when I purchased it originally. I listed briefly how I used it (for competition), and why I was selling it. I thought about including what my Gun Club had offered me, but at the last minute I left that out. I had the chance to rate my gun as to what condition I thought it was in. I selected "Great." I knew after all exactly what I had done to it, and I treated it better than some people treat their kids. I uploaded several pictures of my gun as well. In all, it took me less than an hour to complete everything asked for. I shut down my tablet and went to make lunch, thinking that it would be a couple of days before I heard back from Gunbuyer.com. A couple of hours had passed before I could open my email account. But when I did, I had two responses from Gunbuyer.com. The first was telling me that they received my information and came with a promise of an offer within 24 hours. The second was their offer! It was significantly higher than what my Gun Club had given me. The offer from Gunbuyer.com came with a provision that said they first had to inspect my gun before they would commit, and that after inspection, their offer might change depending upon what they found.
There were also detailed instructions on how to send in my gun for evaluation, along with a shipping label that was created especially for me and my gun, a letter of exception for the shipper from Gunbuyer.com, and the offer of a free box if I needed one. Which I did.
Within two days I had an empty box more than big enough for my gun and all the extra goodies that I was including, and a two day air freight label for the shipping company.
I printed out the letter of exception just like they told me. I packed up in bubble wrap my gun, which was in its original box, with all the documents that it came with, and the extra grip pieces, three rmr shell plates that came with it from the factory, unused factory cleaning tools , and six high capacity magazines all in pretty good condition along with the upgrade letter from the factory for those competition mags. I took it to the shipping company's main distribution center as told, with the box open for inspection like they said and waited in line there. When it was finally my turn, the lady behind the counter asked if it was a gun? I said yes, to which a few people were visibly shaken. The lady said that it was their policy not to ship guns, ever. I paused, myself shaken this time. But she added that they would ship only if I had a letter of exception from the buyer. I smiled and handed it over. She read it and everything suddenly became friendly. She asked if there was any ammunition and if the gun was loaded? Gunbuyer.com had specifically stated not to include any ammunition whatsoever, several times in their instructions, so I easily replied "none whatsoever!" I could see the looks of relief on all those faces around me. I then handed over the open shipping box for inspection. The Lady behind the counter said that she needed to look at the gun before it would be shipped. But when she saw all the bubble wrap, she just smiled and asked me if I had ever shipped guns before? I said of course! She closed the top of the box and triple sealed it with tape. Then attach the label that Gunbuyer.com had given me. When she read the Label she then smiled and told me that her company did a lot of business with Gunbuyer.com and she herself had sent many boxes like mine out. I asked if I had to pay any fee to which she replied no. It was all covered by Gunbuyer.com. She gave me a Receipt and a tracking number and with a smile and a wave, I was off to get lunch.
Two days later when I was checking my bank balance, there was a deposit from Gunbuyer.com listed. And it was for more than they had originally offered. An email told me that my gun was "Excellent " along with the extra magazines which was why their offer was higher. I could not be more impressed.
No more will I deal with the local guys. Gunbuyer.com not only makes it easy to sell my guns, it also makes it even easier to buy them.
Man I wish that Gunbuyer.com had been around 20 years ago when I sold off a collection that I inherited. I know that it would have been a much better experien$e for me. I personally will not go anywhere else to sell, or buy my guns any more. They are the best."

"I had been ordering ammo from guybuyer for perhaps 4 or 5 months. It has been really hard to get almost anywhere. Gunbuyer when I first found it had great sales on my most used 9mm. I first ordered 6 boxes for a very reasonable price and to my surprise it arrived in short order. I said Hmmm this is a good site and bookmarked it.
