"Worst insurance company. Their website ****, support team does not know what their website has. They did nothing until we filled the claim form and uploaded all the visit summaries and bills we paid. Later, they denied all the claims we submitted and their explanation of benefits document got **** up. I was told it may take whole weekend to get their website fixed. Finally, I was told I can appeal on the denied claims but they may get denied again."
"This is by far the worst insurance company that i have dealt with. Even when you submit all the necessary claim documents, they do not reply back and you have to call them each and every time. My claim is still pending for last 3 months and the only response that i get every time is "claims manager has not yet responded". I wonder who and what that person is doing??!! Just a insurance company that will give you head ache!!!"
"If you are buying this medical insurance for Schengen visa, don’t ever think about it, their policy letter is crap, it doesn’t even have “Schengen” word, which is essential requirement from the European embassies, I have asked for a refund, never paid me back.

"Worst company to deal with, nightmare. They kept my inital claim pending since weeks and always say it will take 30-40days after claim was confirmed that they receieved it. No agent will answer questions related to a claim. Only emails. You have to wait for 2-5days for response. Coverage- zero. They wont give u a single penny unless you get hit by a truck. Complete scam. You wont find their secret “reason codes” in policy documents until you file a claim. I lost hundreds of policy payment+ thousand in doctors visit. Overall i got cheated."

"All insurance companies know how to take your money and then refused to pay the appropriate bills, but this one in particular. It's been more then 8 months since the accident when I injured my knee and then still did not make any payments, keep requesting records and just delaying payments. In the mean time I'm still getting bills.
I'll be looking at other companies if I will travel out of my country in the future.
They are great to get you money, but if you ever need any medical care they will never pay the bill!!

"I broke my knee while skiing in France. I had travel insurance with HCC Medical Insurance Services. After surgery and hospital stay for 4 days I couldn't get a proper payment guarantee from the company, so I had to pay my expenses myself in order to be released from the hospital (hence minus 1 star). So I was skeptical if I ever get the compensation from the company. After returning to States I immediately filed a claim with appropriate receipts and other supporting documents. HCC reserves a month to review the submitted claim, but after that month they got back to me, confirmed the claim, requested additional receipts and sent me the checks for all my expenses. Also I want to thank Marlo, claim examiner, who was handling my case — he was extremely nice and supportive, and responded swiftly to my requests and comments. "
