I would have wound up paying $99.99 per year to keep Word, Excel, etc. whereas this is a one time fee for $79.00 for basically the same package. I did email Microsoft about this and I was given a "scare tactic" about obtaining Microsoft products from anywhere except from them, about viruses that came with downloads, etc. I am hoping I will not find a virus with this download and I am hoping this product will do as advertised.
