"Placed an order, got the tracking info. It said a signature was required so I opted to have FedEx hold it at a nearby location. FedEx messed this up and the package was never actually available for pickup. They returned to HydroGalaxy. HG gave me two options, pay the 15% restocking fee (~$30) or pay another $35 for shipping. Even though it was completely out of my control, they would not budge on the restocking fee or shipping fee. I opted for the restocking fee, I'll buy the product elsewhere!"

"I ordered a Hydrologic regulator and some inline filters in late April 2017. After a week of waiting for it to be shipped I contacted them to see why it hadn't went out yet. I was told it was out of stock and that it will be shipped the following Friday. I waited over a week before contacting them again and was told I would have to wait even longer. At that point I cancelled the order, which they said would be no problem. I've since ordered the same parts from Ebay and have already received them, but have yet to get my refund. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. To date Hydrogalaxy still owes me $54.32. Buyer beware!!!"
"I ordered a carbon filter and pre-filter. Weeks later I was notified that it wasn't in stock and they were backlogged and going to have to ship it to me when it does come in stock. I asked them to refund my order, they only refunded the pre-filter and not the filter. Weeks later they still don't answer their phones, And still don't answer any of my emails. I am now going to have to take the necessary steps to sue them for the money. Do not purchase anything from Hydro Galaxy.!!!!"

"Been a month since I ordered a rather pricey Hortilux bulb. Amazon shipping window came and went. Requested a refund, nothing. Reported them to Amazon, nothing. "I placed my order 2 weeks before the date I needed their product. After 1 week I hadn't heard from them so I called their customer service line. They told me the product would be back in stock in 2 days, and for my inconvenience they would ship it out with 2 day delivery. The following day I got an email from their customer service dept telling me that the product was discontinued and that if I paid an additional $30 they would gladly ship me a different product. This is the definition of bait and switch. Apparently I am far from the first to be tricked by this company. Their business practices are illegal at best, complete fraud at worst. "

"I Ordered canning jars from this company listed as 5 X Ball Wide Mouth Half Gallon (64 Oz) Jars with Lids and Bands, Set of 6. I was informed that the listing was wrong and they would not honor the sale. "The price you paid is only enough for us to ship 1 set of 6, this listing was incorrect and we have since fixed it". I feel like this was done on purpose. The original price was $102.75 an it was marked down when I ordered it .
They pretty much told me they would not honor the deal I had pad for my only choice is to take one set of six or cancel my order. "We basically just wanted to give you the option to keep the order before just cancelling it without telling you or asking how you would like to proceed".
Talk about a company taking advantage and in my opinion committing fraud.

"I bought a CO2 meter through Amazon at the Hydro Galaxy store. It stopped logging within the 1 yr warranty, and Hydro Galaxy stopped selling through Amazon as well. They still have an online store of their own and a brick and mortar store in San Francisco, but they won't honor the warranty of the meter because I bought it from them on Amazon. Amazon won't cover the warranty either; saying Hydro Galaxy is responsible."
"I ordered a reflector. Reflector was NOT at all protected during shipping due to extreme carelessness and/or lack of common sense by hydro galaxy. Received an extremely damaged reflector. Had to send 18 emails with pictures to get a refund. They offered a partial refund for a totally damaged product. I finally got a full refund after my 18 emails... it definitely was not worth the $14 I saved by shopping with hydro galaxy and would definitely not do so again. I saved less than one dollar per email I had to write sbout my damaged beyond use product, and I had to wait 3 weeks for the situation to be fixed. Definitely not worth it."

"I received the wrong timer. Everyone I dealt with was so nice and so helpful that I felt guilty for speaking rudely to them on the phone. I assumed I would get a major hassle but the exchange (postage paid return label, etc) was so efficient I couldn't believe it. I waited a week and hadn't received the correct part so I sent another rude email (assuming some low-level flunky had screwed up my order again). Within an hour I received a response that it was out for delivery (ouch!). I am very happy with the timer and I am glad to know there are companies (people!) who are customer-oriented and efficient!
