"I have had a very unpleasant experience in ordering from iBuyDig.com. The whole ordeal has left me disappointed and empty handed. The customer service is atrocious, and misleading.
On attempting to purchase a Digital Camera from them, I was connected a day later with a representative trying to sell me further extra's for the camera at overly inflated prices. Finally the representative led me to believe the camera was going to be shipped during the coming week. Three days later and I receive an email telling me that the order would be shipped in 10-12 days. By chance I responded to this email to try and gage whether it was likely to arrive in time for my vacation in a couple of weeks time. An unnamed person from customer services eventually responded telling me it wouldn't be shipped until the end of July. I replied questioning whether they meant April rather than July. Their response was they did mean July as they'd over sold the product and wouldn't get any further shipments until then. Offering little in the way of an apology, and nothing in the form of compensation I was forced to cancel the order.
My advise; DON'T consider buying anything from this site!!!! This is my worst experience in several years of purchasing over the Internet, I certainly have learnt a valuable lesson, and am more interested in reading Web Store reviews before considering purchasing anything from them.

"I called to place an order for a camcorder. The salesman was eager to place my order. He asked what package I wanted. I said I just want to buy the camera. He said what are you going to do about memory? I again said I just want to buy the camera. Suddenly, we were disconnected. I immedately called back and the same salesman said,"Sorry, we're out of stock," and hung up."
"I purchased a camera in December (christmas time) from a company called Digitally Discovered. I bought a Nikon CoolPix 8800 with over $1000 worth of accessories, little did i know i put my credit card in the wrong hands. I was chard $2265 and I call back for a tracking number a week later, which was 2 days before christmas. "Bryan" promised i would recieve my camera to use for Christmas. Turns out I never recieve my Camera and I was still charged $2265. After a long time doing my brilliatn investigation i fell on a company called IBUYDIG. & FOCUSFREEIMAGING. Two websites a copy from eachother and a copy of DIGITALLYDISCOVERED.COM. It looks these crooks stole over two thousand dollars out of my account to open up different companies. Furthermore, I purchased the camera and equipment from a salesmen name "Jeff"...calling up there toll free number asking for Jeff, gave these crooks off. I called up my credit card company and found out I was not the only one that was blind folded and robbed. Turns out over $75,000 was stolen from these crooks!....Im doing my best to withold innocent people to shop with them. BEWARE IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU"
"I found a Panasonic PVGS14 camcorder from this company which was well below any other price I had found. I ordered it and received an e-mail the following day saying I need to contact them due to a change in my order status. When I called them they said the camcorder was out of stock, but they offered to sell me a better camera at the same price. I declined this and they did not argue or become rude, they just said okay we are canceling your order. I feel they should not advertise the merchandise they are no longer carrying, so people don't waste their time waiting for them to offer another product that they may or may not want."
"Ordered camera. Got call almost immediately.
Guy said he couldn't read my address that i had typed in and went into huge upsell.
Didn't want to buy memory card marked up 500% and other accesories, so they cancelled order.
Bait & Switch Scammers. Don't waste your time."
"I placed an order on-line. Within 30 minutes I received a phone call to “verify” my address. The guy tried to sell me an extended 5 year warrantee for $79. When I balked he said, “Would $59 make it more attractive?” I declined any extended warrantee. He then said, “You know what? I’m going to cancel your order”, then hung up. "
"Stay away from this place. I purchased a camera and got two different stories as to where it was being shipped from (CA & NY)and who was shipping(USPS & DHL). Had to beg for a tracking # only to be given an unusable USPS insurance reciept #. Had to beg and threaten to get order cancelled and CC refunded. Only to have the "owner" get snooty on the phone. Sounded like a operation being run out of a tree house in the Bronx."
"Bait and switch operation. Dont waste your time with them. Stated camera was in stock when ordered. Stated it would be shippped UPS. The tracking number did not work. When I called about it they stated the were sold out of the camera and requested I spend an additional 100.00 for an upgraded camera. "
"I contacted their Customer Service for Panasonic Camcorder pv-gs14 and right off that bat they started wanting to sell over-priced accessories. When I told them I am not interested in all that, they put me on hold and then they hung up. I called again and mysteriously, thay had run out of that item. Horrible Service and they are truly bunch of scum."
"Bait and switch operation. Turned out that they didn't feel it necessary to inform me that the price quoted on the website included a mail-in rebate more than doubling the price (phone call received the next day). If you know anything about mail-in rebates, you'll know that for the average consumer they are worth less than 20 % of what they state. Don't do business with these people!"
"WOW this place is the worst I've seen. I placed an order on Sunday for a camera and a camcorder. I was a little conserned I hadn't gotten the "add on" follow up call, so I checked order status on Tuesday to find my order cancelled. When I called them on Wednesday to inquire I found that they were out of stock on both these items, even though the web site said available. Suspecting that they were out of stock because of lack of add on's (batteries etc.) on my order, I called back and was asking to check stock on these as well as a couple of alternative items. Salesman asked if I'd like an eight or five hr. battery for the camcorder. Neither was my reply. I was on hold for less than a fish fart, as he was checking "the warehouse", when he came back on the phone telling me out of stock. I asked if he wouldn't mind actually checking and was on hold for five minutes until I was hung up on.
Why did they cancel my invoice without a phone call?
Why did they just hang up when I asked about stock on hand?
Why do I ask why?
Has anybody had a good experience with these people? Wouldn't it be great if these prices weren't just a set-up for an add on scam. "
"One of the worst experiences with an on-line purchase. This is over the course of two weeks: I received several emails and phone calls because the credit card system was down for the card I wanted to use. They kept asking me for a different card. Finally they told me to check back with them to see if their system was up (I thought this was rather unusual). Then I got a call asking if I had another credit card yet. I told them to use the card I originally gave and I was told the order was all set. I checked online to see the order did not have a tracking number. I called several times and was put on hold repeatedly, was hung up on. Each person had a different story. One person asked me why I did not upgrade the battery. Then one person said the item was out of stock, but it was shown as in stock on the web site. If they wanted to up sell they sure did not try very hard. I do not know why they don't want my order. I gave up and assume my item will not arrive."
"Not a single review yet...Hmmmm.Mine will probably be the first of many. Ordered a Coolpix 8400 online. They called twice the next day. I called back over and over--no answer. Called the next morning, same thing. Finally a line opened. The item was listed as instock. I canceled the order as I thought something fishy was going on. I called back to check on the item and the telephone rep said it was out of stock. 3 days later it says it is in stock on line. Beware these guys. They are pulling all the tricks that A&M photo, Best digital and others are doing. Glad I canceled. Checking my credit card daily. Bait and switch."
