"All I can say is that it is time to involve my lawyer; this place is truly the model on what customer service SHOULDN’T look like- even after paying for fast delivery, NOTHING!!! Totally unbelievable!!!"
"Purchased the ALXV5 for our 2003 Lexus ES300 for use with the head phone jack on our devices. Took the unit to Pacific Stereo and they installed it for $80 in under an hour. I could have installed it myself but I didn't feel like it at the time. The unit works great and is a lot better than the FM solution. The unit also has a setting that allows one to control a playlist and volume by plugging it into the connector rather than use a headphone jack. However we chose to use the headphone jack setting because we still use our iPod classic to play music in the car. "
"This company is a rip off, first the shipping was crazy late, which I understand might not be there fault as USPS is horrible.....BUT after finally receiving the auxiliary adapter that was stated on their website as a "direct fit" for my car it didn't fit at all, to make matters worse installing it would have bent the pins of the navigation/audio module and damaged the car costing thousands to replace or have fixed. Tried calling the company multiple occasions always receiving voicemail, and never getting a single call back. Wrote and e-mailed them, no response. WANT A FULL REFUND, however in order to return the items I am told on the piece of paper that I need an return merchandise authorization. Total BS as you cannot get this when no one at the company answers. After sleuthing and contacting the company located under the location icarkits.com is located I was told that their company is closing shop and going out of business (which I do not believe I think the audio car company down stairs is part of the same operation and they just rip people off). Additionally, I found out that icarkits.com is also called storecare management, and goes by another website called mp3yourcar.com.....I am beginning to think this guy must have multiple online store fronts and is probably running the car audio business located downstairs from the address of icarkits.com. "My order has been incomplete for 3 months. Story after story it's been nothing short of a train wreck. I have asked numerous times for a refund and continue to be assured the order is being processed. Today is the day and no kit. The owner, Jeremy's voice mail box is full as is the business. Not reliable!!!!! "
"I ordered a Bluetooth kit for my car. It was a good price, and the shipping was free. I'm in Canada, so it was an international shipment, and I appreciated the free shipping (USPS) from San Diego.
My package was promptly shipped, but USPS did not scan the package when it was picked up. This meant that there were no updates to the shipping status, because the package was not in the USPS system. After a month, I called USPS and iCarKits to ask what happened to my shipment. It was still marked as being ready for USPS to pick up.
Robbie at iCarKits shipped me a second package without any hesitation. It turned out that my package had spent three weeks in Canadian customs, and was released and delivered the next business day. I refused the shipment for the second package, and it was returned to iCarKits.
My experience with iCarKits was that the shipping charge was waived, my order shipped quickly, and the customer service is outstanding. Canadian customs, however needs some work to improve its turn-around times. (-:"
"brutal device, brutal service.. only syncs with iphone in satellite mode, and even then 50% chance.. i payed 35 bucks for express, it came late and with another 50 dollar fee (to get to canada i guess). not much sympathy from customer service.

"I do like to take the time to answer emails when it comes to companies that have either provided a terrible customer service or an excellent customer service. Your case, it was excellent. I had purchased from you in the past for the same model car, in this case it was for a friends car, he is very satisfied with the product. We ran into a little trouble, but customer service gave me almost immediate answers on whatever we asked, as well as an almost hands on solution. We got the cable adapter we needed with no problem and got everything installed here and it's working great. I have recommended you guys before and will again. Always great working with you, great company!"
"I recently wrote a poor review for this company because my husband and I were unhappy. Since then, the company has reached out to us by phone and mail to formally apolgize for our experience. Therefore, I do not feel it's fair to leave my poor comments for the public to view. Furthermore, I have respect for their owner and staff for taking the time and initiative to reach out and fix the problems, which they did. I will use them again in the future knowing they are working toward resolving internal processes. In addition, the product and price are worth it. Thank you Robbie and Jimmy for your consideration. "
"I purchased VW02-AUX (aux input adapter for VW) on 12/27, had it in my hands on 12/31.
And they threw in a hookup cable too!
The price was less than Amazon, and with free shipping too. Though it seems to have gone up by more than 40% in the past few days.
The only thing that could make me happier is if VW had left me more space to do the installation."
"order the kit for a toyota corolla receive the kit 2 weeks later after two email to the company , the phone number is no good, and it is always busy.installed the unit. ipod work but no display on the radio or any control of the ipod call tech line no real help at all.just reset the ipod did not work. for the money it is not worth it,better of replacing the radio "
"Ordered an ipod/iphone interface (USA SPECS PA15-Hon2) from these guys via their chat and they were incredibly fast in calling me to place the order, price matching the best price I could find and delivering for really cheap ($6 to Canada!). Only glitch was that they were confused about my order when I asked for some information on shipping (they mixed up my delivery and billing address, but did not really as the package was delivered to the delivery address in the end). If not for that I would have been very happy with this vendor."
"I purchased the Neo iOn PODCH3V6 for my PT Cruiser. The order was shipped pretty fast via 1 day shipping for their special of $11.99.
I took it in to Mobile One Auto Sound here in Houston to have it professionally installed. Before installing it, the audio tech installation guy came out to find me to tell me that he was a bit worried about the device. He said it was made up of many different components and there was a small chance they may not be compatible and blow up the car radio. He said he'd seen places like this before that sell devices made up of incompatible components and sometimes they don't work like they should. I told him it would be okay and to install it anyway. He said ok.
It turned out okay and worked great. The only thing that did not work was the radio interface, but that was no big deal to me. I didn't want to waste time on it, so I let it go. I was happy to be able to play my iPod in my car.
Worked great for almost one year. Over time the plastic cover to the connector between the cable and my iPod came apart. It was pretty cheaply made and came apart pretty quick. It didn't seem to affect anything. Over time, however, the cable started to come apart. I didn't notice it until one day as I was driving home from work and started to smell something burning. I looked down and my iPod was smoking! It had melted from the inside out.
I wrote iCarKits and told them what happened, but never heard back from them.
I am still angry about it. I lost my iPod and am now having to come up with the money for another one and now have to go back to Mobile One and have them remove the device from iCarKits."
"From the beginning of this transaction through every step to where I am today I have had nothing but issues with iCarKits.com.
When I first ordered, my order was held, without my knowledge, and without any communication back from them. When I finally did get someone to tell me what was going on it was explained to me first that they were out of stock but waiting on more. Something not told to me when I ordered. Then when I called back a couple days later I was told that there was an additional delay due to waiting for an update to the programming on the device. After talking to one the sales representatives I was able to talk him into upgrading the shipping to 2 day priority. Small consolation considering the amount of time I was left sitting in the dark with no word from them. Further, even once I did get the shipping upgraded it wasn't sent that day. If I remember right it was not even sent the next day. This would all be frustrating at face value but keep in mind that I have to call them every time to get any kind of status updates. No one proactively has told me anything in this entire transaction.
So anyway, through all the pain, through all the explanations to the installation guy I hired as to why I had to keep rescheduling, and through everything else - I finally get the item in the mail. My installation guy installs it, it works (mostly) as advertised and so everything is fine. I was willing to just consider all the trouble up to this point just the cost of doing business. A few days pass and the box stops working. I take it back to my installation guy and say that he must've not plugged it in well because it has stopped working. He takes my dash apart again, resets all the connections and it's working fine. He assured me everything was plugged in right the first time but was at a loss as to why it stopped working. He didn't charge me this time. A few days pass and it stops working again and I take it to him again. He opens the dash again, rewires again, everything starts working again. This time he charges me installation charge AGAIN and tells me that something must be wrong with the box. This time he also installs it in such a way that I can get to all the wiring easily without having to open my dash. This is fine considering that I am probably going to have to get to the wiring again, but this is not my preferred solution because now the box is kind of dangling inside the dash a bit. Ok...so the box works fine for a couple days then stops working again. I make my way to the box & wiring, disconnect it, reconnect it and it starts working. So this is fine I guess except for the fact that I've now paid two installation charges, gone through a rather painful ordering process and I have a rag-tag setup going on. Far from what I expected. Keep in mind now I've paid more for installation than I have for the box. Yay. And it's not even my fault.
This goes on for a couple weeks. I finally have enough of it and decide to call iCarKits. The rep tells me that this is a known issue, quickly lets me know that it was a problem with the programming on the chip. A bit of a chuckle for me seeing as how I had to wait initially for the shipment so that they could get an updated coding on the chip. But anyway, so cool, its a known issue, this should be easy. So now I'm told this is no problem just give him my credit card number so he can put a $100 deposit on my card while they wait for me to return the defective box. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I tell him no. So no problem, now I will just need to wait for a return envelope to be sent to me by normal mail, so I can mail it back to them by normal mail, wait for them to process it, then send me another box by normal mail. He informs me, and I'm inclined to believe him, that this could take several weeks to process fully. So I beg him to ship me a replacement first, let me get the box replaced then I PROMISE to ship their original defective box back to them. He puts me on hold and comes back to let me know that this isn't a problem, I just need to sign and fax a form back to him which basically says I promise to ship their box back. He also tells me he will let me know via email when he receives my fax. Within 10 mins of receiving the form from them I have faxed the signed document back and even followed up with an email stating I had done so to please let me know when they have received the document. A few days pass and I hear nothing back. So here I am sitting here on top of their defective box that I paid for, paid for two installations of (because it was defective and no one told me), and no word from them as to what is going on.
I expect at some point someone will finally email me, or I will grow tired of waiting and call them back, at which point someone will make some meager excuse and maybe do something. I have no idea if or when I will ever receive a replacement. I am disappointed by this entire experience with their company. They sell a valuable product but I intend to do much more research to find out what is available to do the same thing. Of course it's a good product. People see it working in my car and they ask about it. I love it (when it's working) so I tell them how great it is. Then I get into the 'but it stops working mysteriously for some reason' and 'the company I bought it from is impossible to deal with' additions and it's not hard at all to convince them to wait a bit longer till I find another option.
I have been more than patient. I am done with this."
"Bought an iPOD adapter from these guys and they gave immediate confirmation, really quick shipping (with another confirmation) and the product got in soon thereafter--just as described and packaged well. Couple this with the fact that they gave me a great price and free shipping and I am definitely going to save them as a reference for other purchases in the future."
"Dec. 16th - I had ordered a Neo Prolink for a Honda CR-V to interface between an iPod Nano and the Honda in-dash stereo.
Dec. 18th - I receive a call from another iCarKits customer stating that they received my order in a box addressed to them. This other customer calls iCarKits about the error.
Dec. 19th - iCarkits sent me an email stating that a shipping error had occurred and that a package with the correct contents was being overnighted to me via USPS.
Dec. 20th - I received a package on the 20th but it contained someone else's order.
Dec. 21st - I receive the overnighted and correct order with a return label for the incorrect unit.
It was frustrating to hear that the packages were somehow swapped but I understand that mistakes happen and I'm grateful and impressed about how well iCarKits dealt with the situation. They did a great job making sure I got what I ordered before Christmas and were responsive to requests.
Great price. Great product. Great service."
